ACTION LAND (NBC, New!) - Matt Hubbard ("Parks & Recreation") has scored a put pilot commitment from the Peacock for a single-camera comedy which "follows the exploits of the employees of a struggling local amusement park in Arizona." Michael Schur and 3 Arts Entertainment's David Miner are also on board to executive produce for Universal Television. (Variety.com)
BONES (FOX) - Betty White will reprise her role of Dr. Beth Mayer during the show's upcoming final season. (Deadline.com)
BOSCH (Amazon) - Linda Park is set to recur in the upcoming season as Jun Park, "a dedicated grade school teacher and member of CRT - the mayor's Crisis Response Team." (TVLine.com)
CHICAGO MED (NBC) - Eddie Jemison has been tapped for an arc on the medical drama as "the Chief of Emergency Medicine, who has recently returned to Chicago Med after a sabbatical." (Deadline.com)
CLAWS (TNT) - Jack Kesy ("The Strain") has been promoted to series regular on the drama pilot. He plays Roller, "a gangstered-out redneck who runs a barely legal pain clinic and uses Desna's (Niecy Nash) nail salon to launder their obscene profits. A swaggering guy who thinks he owns the world, Roller's outrageous lifestyle just might be his downfall." (Deadline.com)
CRUEL INTENTIONS (NBC) - The Peacock has decided to ultimately pass on the drama pilot, based on the 1999 cult movie. Producer Sony Pictures Television plans to shop the project elsewhere, however the options on the cast are set to expire in December. (Deadline.com)
FOSTERS, THE (Freeform) - Jared Ward is the latest bound for the new season as "a charming new teacher at the school the kids attend." (Deadline.com)
FROM DUSK TILL DAWN: THE SERIES (El Rey) - The fledgling cable channel has released the cast of the series ahead of tomorrow night's season finale as their options are set to expire. Nevertheless, a decision on the future of the franchise may not be made until early 2017. (Deadline.com)
GOTHAM (FOX) - Ivana Milicevic ("Banshee") has been cast as Maria Kyle, the mother of Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova), "a tough-as-nails operator with an arsenal of street smarts, world-class drifter who's able to hide her true self behind a variety of personas." (TVLine.com)
MANHOOD (FOX, New!) - David Monahan and Danielle Hoover have sold a new comedy to the network about "a gay dad who discovers his teenage son has been seeking dating advice from his estranged father, because "Grandpa's a ladies-man and you're a men-man" and starts to worry that this is the first crack in an ever-widening gap between him and his straight son." Sony Pictures Television is behind the half-hour, which is based on the New York Times article "A Field Guide to Male Intimacy." Happy Madison, Seth Gordon's Exhibit A and Storied Media are co-producing. (Deadline.com)
MODERN FAMILY (ABC) - Kelsey Grammer will drop by the veteran comedy as Keith, "a circus ringmaster (yes, really) - and an ex-boyfriend of Cam's (yes, really)." (TVLine.com)
ORVILLE (FOX) - Halston Sage and Penny Johnson Jerald are both bound for the Seth MacFarlane-led sci-fi drama. No details were given about their roles on the project, which also stars Adrianne Palicki, Scott Grimes, Peter Macon and J Lee. (Deadline.com)
REBEL LAW (CBS, New!) - Kit Williamson ("EastSiders") has booked a potential drama at the Eye about "an openly gay attorney who returns home to Mississippi to join his family's multi-generational law practice where they work through their personal and political differences both inside and outside the courtroom." Michael Rauch and Is or Isn't Entertainment's Lisa Kudrow and Dan Bucatinsky are also set to executive produce for CBS Television Studios with Williamson serving as a co-executive producer. SINNER, THE (USA) - Chris Abbott, Abby Miller and Dohn Norwood have all been cast in the Jessica Biel/Bill Pullman-led drama. Abbott plays Mason Tannetti, "an air conditioning installer working for his parents' business who's happily married to Cora (Biel) until a sudden act of violence upends their domestic equilibrium and forces him to face the lurking shadows in his marriage." Miller then will portray Caitlin Sullivan, "a young, ambitious cop whose personal connection to Cora and Mason Tannetti complicates her performance on the job, and eventually changes the course of the investigation"; with Norwood as Dan Leroy, "protégé of Detective Ambrose (Pullman) who has to navigate the awkward territory between respecting Ambrose's outlier instincts and doing what he thinks is right." (Deadline.com)
STRANGE NEW THINGS (Amazon) - Haley Joel Osment has signed onto the drama pilot, based on Michel Faber's cult hit novel about Peter (Richard Madden), "a priest who is sent into space to help found a new colony, but what he ends up discovering not only puts his faith to the test but life as we know it." Osment will play Sy, "a man who used to grow large quantities of marijuana before being recruited to work on the new colony as chief botanist." (Deadline.com)
THIS IS US (NBC) - Denis O'Hare and Jimmi Simpson are both bound for the newcomer. O'Hare plays Jessie, a friend of William (Ron Cephas Jones); while Simpson is set as Andy Fannan, "a successful Wall Street trader who works with Randall (Sterling K. Brown)." (EW.com, (Variety.com)
UNTITLED J.J. TOTAH PROJECT (NBC, New!) - J.J. Totah (Other People) is set to star in a potential comedy for the Peacock about 15-year-old J.J. (Totah), "an uber-confident, label-defying, tour de force who moves from small-town Indiana to New York City to live with his Aunt Nancy, an upbeat realist who's convinced herself she's happy with her life and will try to teach JJ that sometimes an old dream falls apart so a new one can fall together." David Monahan and Danielle Hoover are penning the half-hour with Adam and Naomi Scott of Gettin' Rad Productions also executive producing for Universal Television. Totah will also receive a producing credit. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED SANJAY SHAH PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Sanjay Shah ("Fresh Off the Boat") has sold a new comedy to the Alphabet about "an idealistic but street-stupid Berkeley grad who takes his first job teaching hardcore felons at a prison." Said effort comes from ABC Studios with Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor likewise executive producing. (Deadline.com)
