Sonar Entertainment Enters Into First-Look Deal with Team Downey

First Project is Singularity, New Series Written by Robert Downey Jr. and Anthony Michael Hall

LOS ANGELES - November 15, 2016 - Sonar Entertainment has entered into a first-look deal with Team Downey, the independent entertainment and production company founded by Robert Downey Jr. and Susan Downey. The new agreement encompasses scripted and non-scripted content for television, including digital. The announcement was made today by Thomas Lesinski, CEO, Sonar Entertainment, and Susan Downey, Partner, Team Downey.

The first project generated by Team Downey under the new arrangement is Singularity, a new series created by Robert Downey Jr. and Anthony Michael Hall. The series will star Hall, with the first episode being directed by Downey.

Hall can next be seen in the Warner Bros. film "Live By Night" opposite Ben Affleck and the Netflix feature "War Machine" opposite Brad Pitt and Tilda Swinton.

"We are excited about Team Downey's vision for developing and producing a broad scope of original premium content," said Lesinski. "Sonar is thrilled to partner with Robert, Susan and the entire team - it is another example of our commitment to forge creative collaborations with the most dynamic talent in the industry."

The partnership with Team Downey is the latest in a series of first-look deals announced by Sonar. Other first-look independent production partners include George Clooney and Grant Heslov's Smokehouse Pictures and StoryBy Entertainment.

Hall is repped by manager Jonathan Brandstein and attorney Jeff Frankel, Downey is repped by CAA and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller, Hoberman, Newman, Warren, Richman, Rush & Kaller, L.L.P.
