STARZ GREENLIGHTS "NUDE" DOCUMENTARY ABOUT TREATS! MAGAZINE FOUNDER STEVE SHAW AND PHOTOGRAPHER DAVID BELLEMERE

Anthony B. Sacco Set to Direct and Produce Documentary with Josh Shader Serving as Producer

Beverly Hills, Calif., November 29, 2016 - Starz announced today that it has greenlit the documentary film "NUDE" from Director and Producer Anthony B. Sacco (DGA Award Winner for the STARZ Original series "The Chair") and Producer Josh Shader (Television Critics Association Award Winner for "The Chair") following treats! magazine founder Steve Shaw and photographer David Bellemere's NU Muses project.

The feature-length documentary explores modern perceptions of modeling, nude photography, and body image connected to the evolving social media landscape documenting a group of women working as professional models today. "NUDE" chronicles the casting and creation of Shaw's inaugural NU Muses project, a high-end calendar photographed by Bellemere that celebrates the forgotten art of the classic nude that will debut at Art Basel in Miami.

"We're excited to work with Tony Sacco and Josh Shader again who, with their perceptive and direct cinema style, are creating an intimate film that aims to expose the raw emotions - as well as the passion and the pain - of individuals working to achieve their art," said Carmi Zlotnik, managing director at Starz. "This documentary gives audiences a glimpse into the exclusive world of modeling and photography."

Starz retains all domestic and international multiplatform rights including television, home entertainment and digital. Director of Original Programing Patrick McDonald is the Starz executive in charge of "NUDE."

About NU MUSES

NU MUSES is a millennial take on the classic Pirelli calendar of the 1970's but reimagined as something artistic, classic and inspirational. NU MUSES aims to redefine how society perceives nudity, reestablishing nudity as something of natural timeless beauty to be celebrated in an elegant and sophisticated way. Candidates from around the world submitted photos and videos in the hopes of becoming one of the final 12 NU MUSES. Following a top 100 selection, a round of social media voting and a final 30 selection, the judges and Creative Director Christianne Brooks, made their decision in October, introducing the final 2017 models who epitomize the qualities of a NU MUSE - confidence, inspiration, and comfort in the nude form. The NU MUSES 2017 calendar shoot took place in October at the beautiful Casa Kimball, a private villa located on the north coast of the Dominican Republic. The NU MUSE luxurious calendar began presales in mid-November. Each of the 2017 NU MUSE's will be a part of the calendar launch event and dinner at Art Basel Miami.
