2017 "MTV Video Music Awards" Returns to the West Coast Live from The Forum on Sunday, August 27 at 8:00 P.M. ET/PT

New York, NY (April 20, 2017) - MTV, a unit of Viacom Inc. (NASDAQ: VIAB, VIA), today announced that the 2017 "MTV Video Music Awards" will return to the greater Los Angeles area when it airs LIVE from the "Fabulous" Forum in Inglewood, CA on Sunday, August 27 at 8:00 P.M. ET/PT.

Throughout history, some of music and culture's biggest breakthroughs have come to life during West Coast VMA broadcasts - from the invasion of the iconic Paramount Pictures studio lot to Linkin Park's explosive performance at Griffith Observatory, Beyoncé's jaw-dropping baby bump reveal at Nokia Theater and the live music festival featuring Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Pharrell and Demi Lovato in Los Angeles' historic Broadway Theater District. The telecast was previously held at the "Fabulous" Forum in 2014 and featured iconic performances including Beyoncé's feminist anthem, Usher, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj, Sam Smith, Taylor Swift and more.

Jesse Ignjatovic returns as Executive Producer for the 2017 "MTV Video Music Awards." Bruce Gillmer, Garrett English and Lee Lodge are Executive Producers.
