ORIGINAL COMEDY SERIES "SWEDISH DICKS," STARRING PETER STORMARE AND JOHAN GLANS, PREMIERES ON POP ON WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 2

Ten Episode First Season Also Features Guest Stars Keanu Reeves, Traci Lords, Margaret Cho, Anthony LaPaglia and Eric Roberts

LOS ANGELES - June 6, 2017 - SWEDISH DICKS, a new scripted procedural comedy from Lionsgate and MTG about a mismatched pair of L.A.-based detectives, premieres on Pop on Wednesday, August 2 (8:00 PM, ET/PT).

Starring Peter Stormare ("John Wick: Chapter 2," "Fargo," "American Gods") and actor/comedian Johan Glans (Best Male Comedian, "Swedish Comedy Awards") with special recurring guest star Keanu Reeves ("John Wick," "The Matrix"), SWEDISH DICKS is a half-hour single camera comedy about an aging ex-stuntman (Stormare) stuck in the past and an overly optimistic Swedish DJ (Glans) stuck in the digital world. Together they get unstuck by forming the private detective firm Swedish Dicks, solving some of the strangest and wildest cases L.A. has ever seen. The 10-episode first season features an array of guest stars, including Traci Lords ("Cry-Baby," "Melrose Place"), Margaret Cho ("Fashion Police," "Drop Dead Diva"), Anthony LaPaglia ("Without a Trace," "Frasier") and Eric Roberts ("The Dark Knight," "Suits").

"We're thrilled to bring the clever procedural comedy SWEDISH DICKS to Pop this summer," said Chris Selak, Lionsgate's EVP of Worldwide Scripted Television. "The series reunites the incomparable Peter Stormare from our Starz hit, 'American Gods,' and superstar Keanu Reeves from our blockbuster 'John Wick' franchise, and gives them an opportunity to dive into great comedic roles on television."

"SWEDISH DICKS is a distinctive mix of comedy, mystery and action with a terrific ensemble cast that keeps you watching until every last case is solved," said Justin Rosenblatt, Executive Vice President, Original Programming, Pop.

Season one of SWEDISH DICKS includes the following half-hour episodes:

101 (Premieres: August 2)

Ingmar (Peter Stormare), a former stuntman, is trying to get by as a private investigator. A private dick, as they used to say. One day, a case leads him to an incredibly annoying DJ, Axel (Johan Glans). But it's not just irritation that Axel awakens in Ingmar.

102 (Premieres: August 2) Guest Starring: Traci Lords

When Ingmar and Axel get a classic cheating spouse case to solve, it's time for Axel to prove himself as a private dick. As if that weren't enough, they run into Ingmar's rival, Jane McKinney (Lords), and Axel is challenged to a duel.

103 (Premieres: August 9)

Ingmar's daughter, Sarah, helps them get a case at an ad agency to find out who is stealing secret data. The seemingly simple undercover job takes an unexpected turn when their client makes a fatal decision. Meanwhile, Sun (Vivian Bang) is working on the Dicks' marketing strategy.

104 (Premieres August 16)

When Ingmar is haunted by the ghost of his former stunt buddy, Tex (Keanu Reeves), his unstable emotional status leads him to make an embarrassing mistake. Axel has to take it upon himself to infiltrate a cult, while Ingmar fixes what he has done. Axel is still a bit worried about Ingmar's psychological health and doesn't dare to leave him alone completely.

105 (Premieres August 23) Guest Starring: Jane Levy, Brock Kelly, Traci Lords

While porn actress Taylor Slow asks the Swedish Dicks to find her stalker, Sarah asks her dad to help her look up her new boyfriend, Steve. Ingmar is certain he will find some dirt on Steve, but Axel - who ends up having to infiltrate Jane McKinney's agency - is anything but confident.

106 (Premieres August 30) Guest Starring: Carolyn Hennesy

The client wants the Dicks to find out if the competing pet cemetery is saving money by burning animals in large groups, a case that is complicated by the fact that Axel has decided to quit his anti-depressants. At the same time, Ingmar's nightmares and Axel's constant questions about Tex lead them to the house of an old cameraman. He has clues, but he wants something unexpected in return.

107 (Premieres Sept. 6)

While Axel tries to make friends, Ingmar has decided to solve the mystery with Tex, and for that he needs money. A lot of money. Luckily, an opportunity involving an illegal poker room appears. Ingmar, however, is quite distracted by Axel's newfound friendship with his daughter, Sarah. Meanwhile, Sun decides to confront the porn producer, Saul, who has sued the Swedish Dicks.

108 (Premieres Sept. 13) Featuring: Eric Roberts

When movie star Chip hires the Swedish Dicks to find out who is cyber-bullying his daughter, Axel has to go undercover as an exchange student at her high school. Ingmar, who has raised the money for 30 stolen cars, is finally ready to get into the devil's nest and meet the mob boss, Dmitri, a man he is convinced has murdered his best friend Tex.

109 (Premieres Sept. 20) Featuring: Margaret Cho, Anthony LaPaglia

Ingmar and Axel get asked to find the breeding ram, Russel Crowe, but before they can start, Ingmar gets picked up by the FBI. Axel calls Sarah to ask her help Ingmar, while he himself continues to look for the missing animal. The situation looks grim for Ingmar, but the FBI seems to be willing to offer him a dangerous deal.

110 (Premieres Sept. 27)

A number of incidents convince Ingmar that he has to move back to Sweden. Sun is quick to take his place in the agency, but before Ingmar has time to leave, they get a case where his own daughter seems to be in danger. When it hits the fan, they all get dragged into the mess - in their most dangerous case to date - leading them towards Ingmar's mysterious past.

Produced by Lionsgate and Viaplay, Glenn Lund, Peter Settman, and Fredrik Ljungberg are executive producers. Directed by Jon Holmberg & Settman and written by Settman, Andrew Lowery & the Viking Brothers.
