TLC TAKES A CHANCE ON LOVE WITH NEW RELATIONSHIP SERIES, "THE SPOUSE HOUSE" PREMIERING ON SUNDAY, JULY 9TH AT 10/9C

(June 8, 2017) Los Angeles, CA -TLC is kicking off Summer by spicing up the wedding and relationship genre with a fresh look at marriage on THE SPOUSE HOUSE, a ten-episode series following fourteen singles who each want nothing more than to find their true love and spend the rest of their lives together. THE SPOUSE HOUSE premieres on Sunday, July 9th at 10/9c.

For people who long to be married but haven't been able to find "the one" by traditional means, this could be the opportunity of a lifetime. Each participant arrives at THE SPOUSE HOUSE single and full of hope that they will find and marry their life partner. If they seize the moment, are vulnerable and open to love, they'll leave married; otherwise, they'll leave the same way they came in - single and alone. The seven men and seven women will all live together for eight weeks while two relationship experts, clinical psychologist Dr. Isaiah Pickens and relationship coach Christine Hassler, guide and help them find their husband or wife.

During each episode, viewers will follow the singles throughout the week as they strengthen their relationships and get to know each other better in an accelerated environment through various activities. Culminating with The Engagement Ceremony, all the singles come together with the experts to talk about their growing relationships with the hope of ending with a proposal and ultimately a wedding. The group session helps build conflict resolution skills and assess compatibility while also encouraging suitors to reveal their inner thoughts and vulnerabilities. If there is no proposal, an eviction will take place and new compatible singles will move into THE SPOUSE HOUSE. The couples who marry will remain living in the house as newlyweds continuing to interact with the remaining singles and receiving advice from the experts.

Everyone appearing on THE SPOUSE HOUSE hail from the greater Chicago area. They are:

Ashley P, 26 - With a dating pattern consisting of relationships not more than three months, Ashley blames her short attention span and the fact she thinks she is better than the men she dates as the reason why she is still single. She feels her life is in a perfect place right now, in all areas except for the love department and is more than ready to walk down the aisle. A graduate with a degree in journalism from Iowa State University, Ashley enjoys working out, is an avid music fan and is currently climbing the corporate ladder.

Brianne, 28 - The queen of the three-month relationship, Brianne has also had several mini-flings and three long-term relationships. She is ready to meet "the one" and knows her next relationship will be with her husband. Brianne graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in Communications; she loves to travel, attend concerts with her sister and is a huge Mariah Carey fan. Her ideal match is a man who is understanding, compassionate and motivated.

Ashley D, 30 - Ashley graduated from Loyola University with a double major in marketing and public relations. She is an animal lover who volunteers her time at the local shelter and is a fitness fanatic. It will be a deal breaker if her potential mate does not share her passion for working out. She is looking for someone who is liberal, kind, creative and smart, all while effortlessly making Ashley laugh on a regular basis.

Kelli Jo, 33 - A country girl through and through, Kelli Jo is currently a flight attendant who travels the world leaving little time for relationships. With four relationships under her belt, she has realized that she is a fixer when it comes to men; she wants to reform bad boys but has been unsuccessful in doing so. Engaged to her previous boyfriend, she ended it abruptly when it was revealed he was cheating on her the entire time. When Kelli Jo is not flying, she enjoys off-roading and is an all-around sports fan who enjoys football, hockey baseball and snow-mobiling.

Yesnaya, 28 - Yesnaya is currently a full-time student attending her last year of physical therapy school and the mother of an eight-year-old son. Having been cheated on in every one of her relationships, loyalty and trust are the two most important qualities Yesnaya looks for in a mate. She loves to work out and take pilates class and is an avid Chicago sports fan who attends Cubs and Bears games whenever she can. Yesnaya admits she comes as a package deal - her potential match must love her son too.

Toyya, 36 - A graduate of the University of Tennessee with a degree in psychology, Toyya currently works as a probation officer focused on troubled youth with substance abuse charges. She is a house music aficionado who enjoys going out dancing and staying at home and cooking. Sadly, her one true love was tragically murdered. Having several long-term relationships since then, she is determined to find a husband who can live up to the kind of man her deceased soul mate was.

Missy, 39 - Missy graduated from Oakland University with a degree in Athletic Training. She received two Masters' degrees in sports medicine and currently enjoys working as a chiropractor specializing in hockey physical therapy. She loves tall men with big personalities and her ideal match will not only need to keep up with her but keep her on her toes as well. She admits she has never had a significant long-term relationship ever and jokes she is married to her work. Missy is a triplet and would love for her future husband to have been previously married because she wants the bugs worked out in his "starter marriage" before Mr. Right marries her.

Danny, 29 - Danny graduated from Grand Canyon University with a degree in Business and Marketing. Having had many short-term relationships, he is more ready than ever to find the right girl and live happily ever after. When not working, Danny enjoys working out, trying new restaurants and going out with friends. He credits his parents who have been married for 32 years as his love role models.

Chris, 33 - A graduate from the University of Illinois, Chris is doing what he set his heart out to do working as an adolescent therapist. He grew up in a household full of love with his parents being married for 34 years. He has dated many women but says they have all lacked the "it" factor that captivates him. He is eager to find his equal and start a family.

Albert, 40 - Albert graduated Northwestern with a degree in Psychology and an MBA from Georgetown; he is an entrepreneur who has opened three gyms and serves as the Vice President of a non-profit organization that helps those wrongly convicted of crimes. As a fun- loving guy, Albert has been in three major relationships with the longest commitment to his now ex-wife. He is a father of three and they are the loves of his life. Albert is looking for a special woman who is optimistic, compassionate and loyal and who will accept his children as their own.

Tom, 36 - Tom earned a degree in Health Administration from Northern Illinois University but decided to go in a different direction with his career and loves working in commercial sales. He enjoys biking, boating and loves a good game of flag football. He also volunteers as a Big Brother to a 12-year old boy. He is unwilling to settle for anything less when it comes to love and is looking for a partner who is intelligent, driven and excited about life. He would like to find his best friend and travel around the world.

Jimmy, 34 - After graduating from the University of South Florida with a degree in Communication Arts, Jimmy trained to become a firefighter and has been fighting fires ever since. Having been married once before, he understands the type of commitment that is required for a successful marriage and admits he misses that connection and sharing his life with a wife. In his free time, Jimmy plays hockey, enjoys traveling and spending summers living on his boat. Most important to Jimmy is a woman who is loyal, faithful and willing to commit to a lasting relationship.

Darren, 29 - Darren is an adventurous soul. He earned his pilot's license when he was 17 years old and enrolled to become a full -time pilot. After the economy faulted, Darren opted to change careers and has been a locomotive engineer for the past nine years. Having been previously married, Darren says he was guarded and did not allow women to get close to him. Knowing that marriage is a lifetime commitment, Darren is determined to have a different experience the second time around. He is looking for a deep connection with a respectful woman who is ready to make a commitment and start a family.

Jonathan, 42 - Jonathan is looking for a woman who would also be his best friend. As a self-proclaimed hopeless romantic, he has always dreamed of finding great love like his parents who have been married for 45 years. Seven years ago, he fell head-over-heels in love and after only six months, she broke his heart. It took Jonathan two years to get over the relationship and since then, the hasn't found the one. He earned a degree in Political Science from St. Mary's College in Minnesota and began his career in real estate 15 years ago.
