ARRANGEMENT, THE (E!) - Garcelle Beauvais is set to recur during the show's sophomore run as Mason, "a charismatic and intelligent businesswoman with ties to DeAnn's (Lexa Doig) past." (Deadline.com)
ELEMENTARY (CBS) - Desmond Harrington has joined the cast of the show's sixth season as Michael, "a fellow addict in recovery, who once found the inspiration to stay sober in Sherlock's words at N.A. meetings in the past." (Deadline.com)
GANG LEADER FOR A DAY (AMC, New!) - Sudhir Venkatesh's best-selling book - about "a wide-eyed, ambitious young grad student who enters the nation's largest public housing project to conduct a survey on what it means to be black and poor in America" - is being developed as a TV series by the cable channel. Ben Watkins will pen the script and executive produce via his Blue Monday Productions alongside Marlboro Road Gang Productions' Ed Burns and Aaron Lubin as well as Radar Pictures' Ted Field, Michael Napoliello and Mike Weber with Eli Dansky and Maria Frisk producing. Burns is also expected to appear on camera in a supporting role. (Deadline.com)
GREY'S ANATOMY (ABC) - Former executive producer Krista Vernoff is returning to series this season as co-showunner. She'll help fill the void by Stacy McKee, who is transitioning to the show's firefighter-themed spin-off. (Deadline.com)
LAW & ORDER TRUE CRIME (NBC) - Mark Moses and Kate Beahan are the latest bound for "The Menendez Murders." He'll play former Los Angeles County district attorney Gil Garcetti while she's on board as famed news anchor Diane Sawyer. (THR.com)
MINDY PROJECT, THE (Hulu) - Chris Messina will reprise his role as Danny during the show's upcoming final season. Additionally, Julie Bowen will guest star as a rival mother. (TVLine.com)
UNTITLED ALLISON ABNER PROJECT (NBC, New!) - Allison Abner has sold a new drama to the Peacock "set in Baltimore and follows a newly elected African-American female mayor, her female chief of police, and district attorney as they work for the good of one of America's most dangerous cities." Actress Penny Johnson Jerald as well as Tom Szentgyorgyi, Sheila Ducksworth and LaVern Whitt will also executive produce for Universal Television. (Variety.com)
YOU (Lifetime) - Elizabeth Lail, Zach Cherry and Luca Padovan have all signed onto the Penn Badgley-led drama, based on Caroline Kepnes's best-selling novel. Lail will play Beck, an aspiring writer who becomes the obsession of brilliant bookstore manager Joe (Badgley). Cherry then will play Ethan, "Joe's bighearted fellow clerk at the bookstore"; while Padovan will portray Paco, "one of Joe's neighbors, this sweet and extremely bright kid is abused and neglected by his mother and her alcoholic boyfriend, but he finds a real friend and champion in Joe." YOU'RE THE WORST (FXX) - Johnny Pemberton and Brendan Jennings have both been tapped for roles on the upcoming season. Pemberton will play Max, "one of Edgar's colleagues on a sketch show"; while Jennings is set as Neil, "the new husband of the ex-wife of Boone (Colin Ferguson), the man Gretchen is dating."
