ABC'S 'DANCING WITH THE STARS' WILL OPEN WITH MOMENT OF SILENCE
ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 2, AT 8:05 P.M. EDT,
TO HONOR THE VICTIMS OF THE MASS SHOOTING IN LAS VEGAS
The Moment of Silence Follows ABC News Primetime Update Anchored by David Muir
Starting at 8:00 P.M. EDT
"Dancing with the Stars" will air live on MONDAY, OCTOBER 2 (8:05-10:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network, and will open with a moment of silence in honor of the victims of the mass shooting that occurred last night in Las Vegas, Nevada. "The Good Doctor" will air as originally scheduled from 10:00-11:00 p.m. EDT.
"World News Tonight" Anchor David Muir will anchor a live, five-minute update from 8:00-8:05 p.m. EDT on the events surrounding the tragic shooting. This news update will originate from Las Vegas and is in addition to an expanded one-hour special edition of ABC News' "World News Tonight with David Muir" (6:30-7:30 p.m. EDT). ABC News Correspondents Matt Gutman and Linsey Davis will report for the network live in Las Vegas along with Chief Investigative Correspondent Brian Ross in New York.
"Nightline" will air a special edition of the broadcast tonight at 12:35-1:05 a.m. EDT anchored live by Juju Chang in Las Vegas and Byron Pitts in New York.
