BOYS, THE (Amazon) - Dan Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane) has been tapped to assume directing duties on the comic-book-turned-drama series' debut installment. He'll take over from executive producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, who had to bow out due to scheduling conflicts. (Deadline.com)
HANDMAID'S TALE, THE (Hulu) - Bruce Miller has signed a multi-year overall deal with Hulu and MGM Television. The pact will cover his duties on the Emmy, Golden Globe and Peabody award-winning series as well as any future development. (Deadline.com)
MAN OF THE HOUSE (ABC) - Jimmy Kimmel will lend his voice to the hybrid comedy pilot, which centers on Jessie (Alyson Hannigan) and Lexi (Leslie Bibb), two recently divorced, very different, sisters who, against their better judgment, move in together to raise their collective kids - two girls (Jenna Ortega and Reece Caddell as Elena and Blair) and one boy (Jake Short as Bradley) - under one roof in the suburbs of Miami. He'll serve as narrator, playing "the grown up version of Jake Short's character Bradley." (Deadline.com)
UNSPEAKABLE (SundanceTV) - Levi Meaden, Brian Markinson, Aaron Douglas and David Lewis will round out the cast of the eight-part drama, which chronicles the emergence of HIV and Hepatitis C in Canada in the early 1980s and the tragedy that resulted after thousands of people were unnecessarily infected by tainted blood. Details about their roles were not released. They join the previously announced Camille Sullivan, Michael Shanks, Sarah Wayne Callies and Shawn Doyle. (Deadline.com)
