Network's Lead NFL Duo Add TNF To Broadcast Duties

New York, NY - Pro Football Hall of Famer, three-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback, and lead FOX NFL analyst Troy Aikman joins seven-time Emmy award-winning broadcaster and lead NFL play-by-play announcer Joe Buck as they call the NFL's Thursday Night Football, Presented by Bud Light package beginning in 2018. The announcement of Buck & Aikman's additional duties was made today by John Entz, President of Production & Executive Producer, FOX Sports.

"Since acquiring the rights to Thursday Night Football, we knew we wanted a big game feel," said Entz. "There is no other tandem that is more synonymous with big NFL games on FOX than Joe and Troy."

Buck and Aikman will call all thirteen Thursday Night Football, Presented by Bud Light broadcasts in 2018, with 11 of those 13 broadcasts airing on FOX and simulcast via NFL Network and also distributed in Spanish on FOX Deportes. The eleven TNF games broadcast by FOX will also be streamed via Amazon Prime Video. Buck and Aikman's first Thursday Night Football assignment takes place Thursday, September 13 as the Baltimore Ravens take on the Cincinnati Bengals airing exclusively on NFL Network from Paul Brown stadium in Cincinnati, OH. In addition, the duo will remain the voices of FOX Sports' America's Game of the Week, ranked as the No. 1 show in all of television for the past nine years.

Additional on-air talent accompanying Buck and Aikman on Thursday night's will be announced at a later date.

The 2018 NFL season marks Buck and Aikman's 17th together, and the two hold the distinction as the NFL's longest-running broadcast team. Buck and Aikman have called a total of five Super Bowls for FOX Sports.

In January, FOX Sports was awarded a five-year deal for Thursday Night Football that includes games between Weeks 4-15 (excluding Thanksgiving night) to be broadcast on FOX, simulcast via NFL Network and distributed in Spanish on FOX Deportes.
