MARSHMELLO AND ECHOSMITH ADDED TO LINEUP FOR THE 2018 RADIO DISNEY MUSIC AWARDS

Marshmello and alt-pop trio Echosmith have been added to the lineup of performers for the 2018 Radio Disney Music Awards (RDMA), music's biggest event for families, presented on SATURDAY, JUNE 23 (8:00 p.m., EDT/PDT), on Disney Channel as well as multiple Disney-branded platforms, including Radio Disney, the Radio Disney app, the DisneyNOW app and Disney.com/RDMA. They join previously announced performers Meghan Trainor, Charlie Puth and "American Idol" winner Maddie Poppe.

Marshmello is a top nominee at the 2018 RDMA with four nominations: "The Bestest - Song of the Year" for "Wolves" with Selena Gomez, "The Buzz - Breakout Artist of the Year," "#SQUADGOALS - Fiercest Fans" for the Mellogang and "When the Beat Drops! - Best Dance Track" for "Silence" feat. Khalid. Since his arrival on the music scene in 2015, his YouTube channel has amassed over 2.4 billion views and over 14 million monthly subscribers. In 2017, his single "Alone" was nominated for an "ARDY" and subsequent singles, "Moving On," "Ritual" and "Chasing Colors" feat. Noah Cyrus and Ookay, spent a total of 33 weeks on the Radio Disney Top 30. His nominated song "Wolves" with Selena Gomez spent 17 weeks on the Radio Disney Top 30 and reached #1 twice. Marshmello's recent single, "Friends" with Anne-Marie, has spent 15 weeks and counting on the Radio Disney Top 30 and peaked at #1.

Echosmith, formed by siblings Sydney, Noah and Graham Sierota, is nominated in the category "You Know You Love Them - Best Duo/Group (Presented by KRAFT(R) Macaroni and Cheese Shapes)." The group gained international stardom with their debut single "Cool Kids," for which they were nominated for an "ARDY" in 2015 for "That's My Jam - Best Song to Rock Out To With Your BFF," and which spent 23 weeks on the Radio Disney Top 30. They were also nominated for "The Freshest - Best New Artist" at the 2015 RDMA. Their hit singles, "Goodbye," "Get Into My Car," "Dear World" and, most recently, "Over My Head," have spent a total of 27 weeks on the Radio Disney Top 30. The multi-platinum group recently wrapped a 25-city North American headline tour and will release their next album later this year.

Fans can vote for the artists that they want to take home an "ARDY" across six voting platforms: Disney.com/RDMA, the Radio Disney app, the DisneyNOW app, Google Search Voting and Radio Disney's Facebook and Twitter.

The winners will be announced FRIDAY, JUNE 22, at the Dolby Theatre(R) at Hollywood & Highland Center(R) in Hollywood, California. A special telecast of the sixth annual show, "2018 Radio Disney Music Awards," will be presented on SATURDAY, JUNE 23 (8:00 p.m., EDT/PDT), on Disney Channel as well as multiple Disney-branded platforms, including Radio Disney, the Radio Disney app, the DisneyNOW app and Disney.com/RDMA.

The 2018 RDMA is sponsored by new and returning clients from the automotive, toy, food and entertainment categories, including Aquabeads(R), Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid, Goldfish(R) crackers, KRAFT(R) Macaroni and Cheese Shapes, Nintendo's Mario Tennis Aces video game on the Nintendo Switch system and The Walt Disney Studios. Den of Thieves, the production company that has delivered some of the biggest moments in live event television, returns for the fourth consecutive year to produce the 2018 RDMA.

Information on the Radio Disney Music Awards, voting and official rules are available at www.Disney.com/RDMA.
