TBS & TNT Expand the Fan Viewing Experience with Launch of Apps on Xbox One and Smart TVs

Top-Rated Networks Drive Ubiquity of Screens with Addition of the Gaming Console and VIZIO and Sony Smart TVs

Platform Expansion Builds on the Nets' TVE Growth Trend with 5.8MM New Downloads in First Five Months of 2018 and the Addition of Younger Viewers

LOS ANGELES, JUNE 11, 2018 -- Working towards complete screen ubiquity, TBS and TNT announced the availability of their streaming apps on the Xbox One game console from Microsoft, the first gaming console to carry the top-rated network apps. This announcement delivers on the networks' commitment to providing access to its programming everywhere consumers watch TV. The TBS & TNT apps are currently available to Xbox users and will be followed by upcoming launches on additional Smart TVs this month.

"By making our programming available on Xbox One, we're growing our connection with younger, heavy video and entertainment consumers, who are a key target demo for our hit shows and are using gaming consoles as their primary path to television content," said Karina Kogan, senior vice president of digital media and products for TBS & TNT. "The end goal is to create the most frictionless viewing experience that connects viewers to our brands however, whenever and wherever they want."

The TBS and TNT apps have continued to gain popularity with 5.8MM new downloads in the first four months of 2018. The networks' apps debut on Xbox One is the latest in a series of rollouts that offer "always on" and omnichannel experiences across connected devices and mobile apps. In addition to the rollout on Xbox, TBS and TNT are also adding apps on Smart TVs including Sony (Opera TVs and Blu-Ray Players) and VIZIO in the second quarter of this year. These Smart TV apps join Sony Bravia and Samsung Smart TVs on the list of the latest connected TVE apps to be launched by the two networks in the last two quarters.

Turner's TBS and TNT networks continue to be at the forefront of digital TV content in the US, having been the first to stream live on-air content and across multiple mobile and smart TV platforms. The TBS and TNT apps provide a seamless viewing experience of the networks' on-air programming including, live sports and blockbuster movies. Xbox and Smart TV users can sign-in with their cable provider to watch TBS originals like The Last O.G., Final Space, Search Party, The Detour, Joker's Wild, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, American Dad, and more, along with comedy hits like The Big Bang Theory, Family Guy, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Cleveland Show and Friends. Audiences can also watch the NBA on TNT and TNT originals like The Alienist, Animal Kingdom, Claws, and more in addition to favorites like Law & Order and Charmed.

Fans can catch up on TBS and TNT programming via the networks' apps and websites by signing in with their user name and password from their TV provider. TBS and TNT apps are supported by most TV providers, including AT&T, Spectrum (including Time Warner Cable, Charter & Bright House), Comcast XFINITY, Cox, DIRECTV, Dish, Optimum, Suddenlink, Verizon, and many more. The availability of Xbox One and the latest round of Smart TV apps join the two top-rated networks' apps already available on iOS, Android, Amazon Fire, Apple TV, Roku, Android TV and Chromecast devices. TBS and TNT join the roster of Turner's other popular brands also available on Xbox One and Smart TVs including Cartoon Network, CNN and truTV.
