13 REASONS WHY (Netflix) - The show's eight series regulars have reportedly closed new deals with big salary bumps: lead Dylan Minnette to the $200,000 per episode range (up from $80,000); and Brandon Flynn, Alisha Boe, Justin Prentice, Christian Navarro, Miles Heizer, Devin Druid and Ross Butler will now each be making $135,000 an episode (up from $20,000-$60,000). DIRTY JOHN (Bravo) - Lindsey Kraft has booked a yet-to-be-revealed role on the upcoming anthology series. (TVLine.com)
GILDED AGE, THE (NBC) - Michael Engler is set to direct and executive produce the opening two installments of Julian Fellowes's long-in-the-works period drama. (Deadline.com)
LAW & ORDER: SVU (NBC) - Sandrine Holt is the latest set to recur on the series as Lisa Abernathy, "a clinical psychologist that consults on cases for the Manhattan district attorney's office. Lisa also has a wife and two children." (THR.com)
ONE DAY AT A TIME (Netflix) - India de Beaufort and Alex Quijano are both bound for the new season. She'll play Avery, "the new love interest of her real-life husband Todd Grinnell's character Schneider in their first on-screen romance." Quijano then is set as Mateo, "dad friend of Penelope's (Justina Machado) from school, who turns into something more." He replaces the originally cast Raúl Castillo. (Deadline.com)
ROYALS, THE (E!) - The cable channel has canceled the series after four seasons. "E! will not be moving forward with another season of 'The Royals,' which launched in 2015 as the network's first original scripted series," said the network in a statement. "Over four seasons, 'The Royals' took viewers behind the palace gates on a scandalous journey filled with twists and turns. We are grateful to the cast and our producing partners at Lionsgate and Universal Cable Productions." Lionsgate nevertheless plans to shop the series elsewhere, with its co-venture Pop among the targets. (Deadline.com)
TREADSTONE (USA) - The network's small screen take on the "Bourne" franchise has been ordered directly to series. Originally given a pilot order back in April, an expected international distribution deal between producer Universal Cable Productions and Amazon secured the series pick up. (Deadline.com)
UNPROTECTED SETS (Epix, New!) - MGM Television has scored a 12-episode order for a new docu-series which "presents a compelling portrait of a comedian on the verge of breaking out to become the next big name in comedy." Wanda Sykes and Page Hurwitz of Push It Productions will executive produce alongside the studio's Barry Poznick. The series launches Friday, October 5 at 11:00/10:00c. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED LAVENDER & ULIN PROJECT (NBC, New!) - Writers Meredith Lavender and Marcie Ulin and director Craig Brewer are set to team for a new drama at the network about "gifted musician Madison, who fears her life in the music business is over after an epic breakdown on stage goes viral. With a new boldness she teams up with her musical prodigy sisters to form a band that might be more than what they bargained for. Thrust into a world that is far more cutthroat and challenging than they ever imagined, they try to balance their individual ambitions, dreams and secrets while trying to survive the roller coaster that is fame and success." DiVide Pictures' Milo Ventimiglia and Russ Cundiff will also executive produce the 20th Century Fox TV-based project, which has a script commitment plus penalty. (Deadline.com)
