Amazon Prime Video today announced it will premiere a Christmas episode of its hit kids series Pete The Cat on November 20 in the US and UK. Pete The Cat: A Very Groovy Christmas features all-new Christmas music from iconic singers Dave Matthews and Jason Mraz, among others. Based on the popular book series, Pete The Cat: A Very Groovy Christmas features the voices of Elvis Costello, Diana Krall, Jessica Biel, and Jacob Tremblay.

After performing a play about the Legend of the Christmas Cat, Pete and the gang try to find the real Christmas Cat so that they can get some cool gifts. During their hunt, they end up helping various families along the way. Will they find out that giving is the best way to truly enjoy the holiday?

Pete The Cat: A Very Groovy Christmas Special stars Jacob Tremblay (Room) as Pete the Cat, and musicians Diana Krall and Elvis Costello as his Mom and Dad. Django Marsh, Don Was, Alyson Stoner, Atticus Shaffer, Indie Nameth, Juliet Donenfeld and Felix Avitia also star in the special. Guest stars include Jessica Biel, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Phill Jupitus, Phil LaMarr, Dave Matthews, Jason Mraz, Jim Parsons and KT Tunstall.

Based on the best-selling children's books, Pete the Cat is about being true to who you are, accepting others and having a positive groovy attitude. The character "Pete the Cat" was created by author/illustrator James Dean and is the beloved star of over 40 popular children's books. The books have been translated into 13 languages and have received 18 literacy awards to date, including the Theodore Geisel Seuss Award. Pete the Cat: A Christmas Special is a co-production with Amazon Studios and Alcon Television Group. It is developed by Jeff "Swampy" Marsh (Phineas and Ferb) and Appian Way Production Company. Marsh serves as executive producer along with Gerry Shirren (Puffin Rock), Alcon's Laura Lancaster (The Expanse), Andrew Kosove (The Expanse), Broderick Johnson (12 Strong), and Ben Roberts, as well as Appian Way's Jennifer Davisson (Captain Planet) and Nathaniel Posey. The special is directed by Van Partible (Johnny Bravo) and Bernie Petterson (Phineas and Ferb), and written Craig Carlisle (Pete the Cat) and Josh Saltzman (Inspector Gadget).
