HISTORY(R) ANNOUNCES RETURN OF RECORD-BREAKING LIVE TELEVISION EVENT "EVEL LIVE 2" PREMIERING SUNDAY, JULY 7 AT 8PM ET KICKING OFF NETWORK'S THIRD ANNUAL CAR WEEK

DAREDEVILS SET OUT TO SMASH WORLD RECORDS INCLUDING THE LONGEST MOTORCYCLE JUMP IN HISTORY

New York, NY - March 27, 2019 - HISTORY announces the return of the unprecedented live television event "Evel Live 2" premiering Sunday, July 7 at 8PM ET. As part of the network's third annual Car Week, the live broadcast produced in partnership with Nitro Circus will follow athletes, including champion freestyle motocross athlete Axell Hodges and female freestyle motocross athlete Vicki Golden, as they set out to break world records with three jaw-dropping motorcycle stunts. Professional motorsports icon, Travis Pastrana, will return to co-host the special.

In "Evel Live 2," viewers will watch as Golden aims to shatter the motorcycle firewall record where she will speed through a series of flaming wooden boards. Golden will be the first female to attempt to break the current record which was set back in 2006. Next fans will witness as Hodges attempts to soar over more than 24 beverage trucks to break Evel Knievel's 1971 attempt and Evel's son Robbie's 2003 record. The television event will culminate with a stunt so daring few would even think of trying. Hodges will put his life on the line by attempting to jump farther than anyone ever has on a motorcycle, a distance that was set in 2011 at 379'9" feet."

"This second iteration of 'Evel Live' will feature a motorcycle stunt that is longer, higher and more dangerous than any before," said Eli Lehrer, Executive Vice President and Head of Programming, HISTORY. "Hodges and Golden will attempt to break records as they honor the history and tradition of American daredevils, including a jump that even Evel Knievel himself couldn't have dreamed possible."

In July 2018, 3.5 million Total Viewers witnessed history in the making as Pastrana honored legendary daredevil Evel Knievel in HISTORY's "Evel Live." Pastrana broke records by completing three of Knievel's most dangerous feats live from Las Vegas, Nevada, all while riding a motorcycle inspired by the ones Knievel used. The stunts included: breaking Knievel's record jump over 50 crushed cars by clearing 52 cars, another record-breaking jump over 16 full-size buses, and making history as the first person to successfully jump the Caesars Palace fountain on a bike similar to the one Knievel used 50 years ago. Pastrana holds the record as the only person to successfully beat two of Knievel's distance records and land a jump over the fountain on a v-twin motorcycle in one night. He will return to the live event as a co-host of "Evel Live 2."

"Evel Live 2" is produced by Nitro Circus. Trip Taylor, Dave Mateus, and Andy Edwards are executive producers for Nitro Circus Media Productions. Zachary Behr, Mary E. Donahue and Eli Lehrer are executive producers for HISTORY.

Additional new programming in HISTORY's third annual Car Week slate includes:

From one of the fastest vehicles on the planet, to an amphibious sports car, Hasselhoff will pull back the curtain, meet the mavericks, and get behind the wheel of some of the wildest cars out there. The special will culminate with iconic vehicles and their drivers lining up for a one-of-a-kind race with Hasselhoff in the KITT car, Dirk Benedict in the A Team Squad Van from "The A-Team," and Erik Estrada in the motorcycle from the police drama television series "ChiPs."

In this HISTORY Car Week one-hour special, officers from all around the country, including some of those on "Live PD," will take viewers under the hood of the most revolutionary and high-tech cars on the force giving a close-up look at souped-up patrol cars and the technology inside. Viewers will see the garages, the repair and restoration shops, and with some sport science, even analyze past pursuits revealing how these builds affect speed, acceleration and trajectory on the road.

One mile from John DeLorean's old estate, Mike Wolfe and Danielle Colby are transported to the 1980's when they explore a New Jersey farmhouse and discover, not one, but two of the iconic futuristic cars. They know they can't walk away without saving a rare piece of automotive history and it's not every day you get to go back in time to test drive a DeLorean.

"American Pickers" is produced by Cineflix's subsidiary American Pickers 10 Productions Inc. Executive Producers for Cineflix are Charles Tremayne and Mike Swanhaus. Mary Swanhaus is a co-executive producer. Mike Wolfe is the creator and an executive producer. John Verhoff serves as executive producer for HISTORY.

"Counting Cars: Detroit Special"

In this special episode of "Counting Cars," Danny Koker restores a 1969 Shelby GT500 numbers matching car from a rust bucket into an instant classic. The team visits the Detroit Autorama to check out the Ridler Award competition where million dollar cars are the norm. Danny also sells off two meaningful cars from his own personal collection.

"Counting Cars: Detroit Special" is produced by Leftfield Pictures. Shawn Witt, Gretchen Palek and Jonathan Wyche are executive producers for Leftfield. Danny Koker serves as an executive producer. Executive producer for HISTORY is John Verhoff.

"The Lost Corvette"

In 1983, for the first time since the brand's inception in 1953, Chevrolet did not release a Corvette model for that year. Designs were drawn, parts ordered but no car was ever released. On what would have been a celebratory 30th anniversary - no 'Vette hit the market. In this HISTORY special, die-hard Corvette expert and builder Chris Mazzilli will try to fix this missing piece of muscle car history as he and his team build a one-of-a-kind 1983 Corvette from the ground up. The creation will be presented to a panel of experts, including the Corvette designers who pulled the plug on releasing the '83 originally, to see if it's worthy.

"The Lost Corvette" is produced by Bungalow Entertainment. Bobby Friedman, Mike Powers and Larry Hochberg are executive producers for Bungalow Entertainment. Chris Mazzilli serves as an executive producer for Dream Car Restoration. Executive producers for HISTORY are Jordan Harman, Christian Murphy and Jim Hoffman.

A+E Networks holds worldwide distribution rights for all of the above programs.
