AMAZON STUDIOS ANNOUNCES NEW FIRST LOOK DEAL WITH ACTRESS CONNIE BRITTON

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., July 27, 2019 - Amazon Studios announced today it has closed a new first look deal with actress and producer Connie Britton. Britton will work with Amazon Studios to develop television series to premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide.

"I'm honored to be joining Jen and the team at Amazon in creating provocative, thoughtful programming, utilizing their celebrated and exceptional storytelling platform," said Britton. "I know this will be an exciting and purposeful collaboration."

Britton also starred as the female lead in the first season of American Horror Story, Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk's Golden Globe and Emmy-nominated series for FX, for which she also received another Emmy nomination.

Britton teamed up with Murphy again in American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson for FX, in which she played Faye Resnick, and most recently for Murphy's new FOX procedural first-responder drama, 9-1-1, alongside Angela Bassett and Peter Krause.
