BILLIONS (Showtime) - Roma Maffia and Daniel Breaker will both recur on the show's fifth season. Maffia will play Mary Ann Gramm, "the smart and tough Manhattan District Attorney"; with Breaker as Scooter Dunbar, "the brilliant and locked down Chief of Staff of business titan Michael Prince (Corey Stoll)." BRIDGES (ABC, New!) - Aaron Serna has booked a multi-camera comedy at the Alphabet which "tells the story of a family of strong Texas Latinas who have their world turned upside down when they lose the beloved mother who held their family together, and are left with the white, conservative father they blame for tearing the family apart." Sebastian Jones and Campanario Entertainment's Jaime Davila and Rico Martinez will also executive produce the project, which has a penalty attached, for 20th Century Fox Television. (Deadline.com)
CHICAGO FIRE (NBC) - Albert Rosende's Blake Gallo has been promoted to series regular on the firefighter drama. (Deadline.com)
DOCTOR WHO (BBCA) - Laura Fraser and Anjli Mohindra are both slated to guest on the upcoming 12th season in yet-to-be-revealed roles. (Deadline.com)
FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER, THE (Disney+) - Desmond Chiam and Miki Ishikawa have been cast in the Marvel Studios entry in yet-to-be-detailed roles. (Deadline.com)

PEOPLE PERSON (FOX, New!) - Matt Tarses has sold a single-camera comedy to the network about "the marriage of Sam, who doesn't like people and doesn't like doing things, and Emmy, the friendliest, most outgoing woman in the world." Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor and TrillTV's Wendi Trilling are also on board to executive produce for FOX Entertainment. (Deadline.com)
REEF BREAK (ABC) - The Alphabet has pulled the plug on the Poppy Montgomery-led summer drama after one season. (Deadline.com)
SIMPSONS, THE (FOX) - David Harbour and Cate Blanchett will lend their voices to upcoming installments of the animated staple. The latter will play "a canine psychologist named Elaine who agrees to help Santa's Little Helper, who is suffering from depression." Harbour then is "an alternate version of Mr. Burns in which he goes undercover to root out the origin of some graffiti on the wall at the nuclear power plant." (EW.com)
SNOW CRASH (HBO Max, New!) - Director Joe Cornish's small screen take on Neal Stephenson's sci-fi novel has found a new home at HBO Max. In addition, Michael Bacall has signed on to pen the project, which was previously set up at Amazon in 2017, with Frank Marshall producing. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED MIKE MASSIMINO PROJECT (NBC, New!) - Dan Greaney and Bill Prady are set to team for a potential comedy at the network inspired by the life of NASA veteran Mike Massimino. The project "explores what happens when the dream of following in the footsteps of Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin and becoming an American hero collides with the reality of a cynical world and the life of a divorced dad." Director Jamie Widdoes will also executive produce the Universal Television-based project with Massimino as a producer. (THR.com)
