BLOOD & TREASURE (CBS) - Paget Brewster is bound for the summer drama as Sister Lisa: "A resourceful nun in Rome with a sly sense of humor, Sister Lisa is good friends with Father Chuck Donnelly (Mark Gagliardi). While Father Chuck is on the trail of a mystery, he quickly comes to rely on Sister Lisa for information, as he knows that the Nuns are the eyes and ears of the Church." (Deadline.com)
BRIARPATCH (USA) - Sarah Minnich has scored a recurring role on the newcomer as Ginger Galanti, "the lead field reporter for Channel 8 in San Bonifacio, Texas. She's got chops, moxie, and a chip on her shoulder the size of the Alamo." (Deadline.com)
HEARTBEATS (Quibi) - Michael Mohan and Ben York Jones's comedy has found a new home at the streaming service. Originally set up at Starz in 2013, the project is an intimate glimpse into the constantly intersecting and diverging lives of Bobby and Kristen; two down-to-Earth individuals who would be perfect for each other, if only they had met at a different time. eOne and Hypnotic are behind the project, the former succeeding Universal Cable Productions. Mohan will direct and executive producing alongside Jones, Dave Bartis and Doug Liman. (Deadline.com)
LOST BOYS, THE (The CW) - The netlet has given a new pilot order to its small screen take on the cult vampire feature film. Heather Mitchell and Rob Thomas co-wrote the retooled version, which has also added Marcos Siega as director. Medalion Rahimi and Dakota Shapiro, who starred in the previous incarnation and had their options extended, however will not return as a new cast is being assembled. Warner Bros. Television remains behind the hour with Mitchell, Thomas and Siega executive producing alongside Dan Etheridge of Spondoolie Productions and Mike Karz and Bill Bindley of Gulfstream Television. Rebecca Franko and Juliana Janes serve as producers. (Deadline.com)
MARVEL'S LOKI (Disney+) - Owen Wilson has signed onto the Tom Hiddleston-led series in a top secret role. (Deadline.com)
MAVERICK (The CW, New!) - Merigan Mulhern has scored a pilot order from the netlet for a new drama about "a college-bound President's Daughter who starts to question her loyalty to her father in a present day America that finds itself under authoritarian rule." CBS Television Studios is behind the hour with Fake Empire's Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage and Lis Rowinski executive producing alongside showrunner Warren Hsu Leonard. Mulhern will serve as a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com)
PEPPA PIG (Nickelodeon) - Harley Bird is bowing out as the voice of the animated series' title character after 13 years. She'll be succeeded by Amelie Bea Smith. (Deadline.com)
RESIDENT ALIEN (Syfy) - Linda Hamilton, Mandell Maughan and Alex Barima will all recur on the upcoming Alan Tudyk-led drama. Hamilton will play General McCallister, "a high-ranking general who seemingly plays by the rules and runs a tight ship but secretly oversees a covert operation looking for aliens"; with Maughan as Lisa Casper, who "even though she looks soft and innocent, she's a high-strung badass"; and Barima as David Logan, "who recently was dismissed from the military." SEAL TEAM (CBS) - Rachel Boston and Tim Chiou have both landed recurring roles on the drama as Hannah, "Sonny's (AJ Buckley) childhood best friend"; and Michael "Dirty Mike" Chen, "a seasoned, hard-charging SEAL Team operator who loves the life of a warfighter," respectively. (Deadline.com)
SEVERANCE (Apple TV+) - Jen Tullock and Zach Cherry have both been cast in the Ben Stiller-helmed drama as Devon, "sister of Mark (Adam Scott)"; and Dylan, "one of Mark's employees," respectively. (Deadline.com)
SIMPSONS, THE (FOX) - Cobie Smulders and Taran Killam will lend their voices to the show's March 1 episode "which revolves around [Bart] getting an unauthorized sneak peek at the unreleased sequel of the extremely popular Vindicator superhero movie franchise. Smulders and Killam will portray two of the Vindicator superheroes, named Hydrangea and Airshot, respectively." (TVLine.com)
