DARE ME (USA) - The cable channel has pulled the plug on the cheerleading drama after one season. The news comes despite showrunner Gina Fattore inking an overall deal with sibling producer Universal Content Productions last month. (THR.com)
GILDED AGE, THE (HBO) - Carrie Coon has signed onto the upcoming drama from Julian Fellowes as Bertha Russell, who "comes from the ordinary middle class. She backed her instincts when she set out to catch her husband George, the son of a merchant family who has proved to be a financial genius. She is determined to use her money and position to break into a society that resists change at every turn." She replaces Amanda Peet, who had to pull out over scheduling issues. (Deadline.com)
