ARSENE LUPIN/VOLTAIRE, MIXTE (Netflix/Amazon) - Both France-based series will reportedly resume production later this year. The latter is expected to restart filming in mid-July in the south of France, while the former won't shoot again before September due to talent availability. (Variety.com)
CRUEL SUMMER (A.K.A. LAST SUMMER) (Freeform) - Olivia Holt has been cast in the upcoming drama as Kate, "the embodiment of teenage perfection whose life is one to be envied until she mysteriously disappears." She replaces Mika Abdalla, who played said role in the original pilot. (Deadline.com)
HELLO NINJA (Netflix) - The streaming service has commissioned a 10-episode third season for the animated series, due this fall. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED LAZARTE & HERNANDEZ PROJECT (Apple TV+, New!) - Filmmakers Brian Lazarte and James Lee Hernandez ("McMillion$") have landed a four-part documentary series at the company in a deal valued at seven-figures. The untitled project "tells the unbelievable true story of one of the largest scams in government history." No other specifics were given. (Deadline.com)
YOUNG PEOPLE (HBO Max, New!) - B.J. Novak has received a multi-script commitment, with a penalty attached, from the streaming service and Warner Bros. Television for a new multi-camera comedy about "six twenty-somethings from very different backgrounds and perspectives find themselves sharing an apartment in Brooklyn." A writers' room has been opened for the pilot plus five additional scripts. No other auspices were given. (Variety.com)
