DAD STOP EMBARRASSING ME! (Netflix) - The streamer has opted not to proceed with a second season of the Jamie Foxx-led comedy series. (Deadline.com)
GETAWAY (NBC) - Annie Ilonzeh is the first to be cast in the drama pilot, in which a destination wedding at an isolated luxury resort quickly descends into chaos after a group of dangerous criminals takes the island hostage. Ilonzeh's Tessa Carrillo is "a physically tough Army medical vet who at 18 put her career dreams on hold after her parents died to take care of her younger sister, Grace. Although the siblings are now on different paths, with Grace marrying a political scion, Tessa is attending her wedding in the hopes she can relax and reconnect with her sister." (Deadline.com)
RAY DONOVAN FEATURE-LENGTH FILM (Showtime) - A.J. Michalka has been cast in the follow-up movie as "the younger version of Abby (Paula Malcomson)." (Deadline.com)
SILK (Amazon, New!) - Tom Spezialy has been tapped as showrunner of the proposed live-action Marvel series from Sony Pictures Television, which has reportedly landed at the streaming service. Said development is part of an overall deal Spezialy has signed with Amazon Studios. Back in September, it was reported Lauren Moon was spearheading the project, the first of a planned "suite" of TV series based on characters the studio controlled. Phil Lord, Chris Miller and Amy Pascal are also among the executive producers. (Deadline.com)
