FAIRFAX (Amazon) - Adorable Trio's Matt Hausfater, Teddy Riley and Aaron Buchsbaum have signed a first-look deal with the show's producer Amazon Studios. (Deadline.com)
KARDASHIAN JENNERS SERIES (Hulu) - Fulwell 73 has signed on to produce the upcoming reality series with Danielle King serving as showrunner. The company's Ben Winston, Emma Conway and Elizabeth Jones will also executive produce alongside the previously announced Kris Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian West, Khloé Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner and Ryan Seacrest. LONDONGRAD (HBO, New!) - Benedict Cumberbatch is attached to play Alexander Litvinenko, "the KGB agent and later defector killed by poisoning with the radioactive isotope polonium-210 in 2006 in England," in a limited series at the pay channel. Writer David Scarpa and director Bryan Fogel are behind the project, based on Alan Cowell's book "The Terminal Spy," with Cumberbatch, Len Amato, Adam Ackland and Claire Marshall also executive produce for Sunnymarch, Orwell Productions and Crash&Salvage. NATIONAL TREASURE (Disney+) - Lisette Alexis is the first to be cast in the film franchise's TV incarnation as Jess, "a Latina whose brilliant and resourceful mind loves a good mystery, and she has a natural talent for solving puzzles. Over the course of the show, Jess will uncover her own buried history, as well as the truth about her parents and her connection to a long-lost treasure." Rick Muirragui has likewise signed on to executive produce alongside Jerry Bruckheimer, Jon Turteltaub, Marianne Wibberley, Cormac Wibberley, Mira Nair, Jonathan Littman and KristieAnne Reed. NEVER TELL (CBS) - Stacey Abrams's novel is being redeveloped by the Eye with Barbara Hall as the writer. Talicia Raggs was previously tapped to pen the adaptation in 2019. Abrams, Hall, Joan Boorstein, Nina Tassler and Denise Di Novi are the executive producers for PatMa Productions and CBS Studios. (Deadline.com)
ONCE UPON A TIME IN AZTLAN (Amazon) - Jesse Garcia and Annie Gonzalez have both been cast in the drama pilot. Garcia will play Arturo Duran: "After 13 years in Federal prison, Arturo has missed a lifetime's worth of changes. His second chance at life will be born through his transcendental artistry, which will single-handedly take possession of how the world sees the Southern California Dream." And Gonzalez is Dolores "Lola" Duran, "the youngest of Gervasio Duran's (George Lopez) children. She's the heart of the family, a spitfire mother, and entrepreneur who runs a bar-cabaret with her ex. She is always game, at the party, and in the riot." (Deadline.com)
PROBABILITY OF MIRACLES, THE (HBO Max, New!) - Katie Lovejoy is looking to bring Wendy Wunder's book to the small screen at the streamer: "The series revolves around dry, sarcastic, 16-year-old Cam Cooper who has spent the last seven years in and out hospitals. The last thing she wants to do in the short life she has left is move 1,500 miles away to Promise, Maine, a place known for the miraculous events that occur there. But it's undeniable that strange things happen in Promise: everlasting sunsets; purple dandelions; flamingoes in the frigid Atlantic; an elusive boy named Asher; and finally, a mysterious envelope containing a list of things for Cam to do before she dies. As Cam checks each item off the list, she finally learns to believe - in love, in herself, and even in miracles." REVENGE INC. (Netflix, New!) - Matthew Arnold is developing a new drama at the streamer which "would focus on a secret, underground company that specializes in revenge." Dark Horse Entertainment's Mike Richardson, Keith Goldberg and Chris Tongue are likewise set to executive produce. (Variety.com)
THREE-BODY PROBLEM, THE (Netflix) - The streamer's adaptation of Liu Cixin's sci-fi trilogy has cast Benedict Wong, Tsai Chin, John Bradley, Liam Cunningham, Jovan Adepo, Jess Hong, Marlo Kelly, Alex Sharp, Sea Shimooka, Zine Tseng and Saamer Usmani in yet-to-be-revealed roles. They join the previously announced Eiza Gonzalez. (Deadline.com)
