Senator Bernie Sanders to Make His 14th Appearance as a Guest
NEW YORK - The Peabody Award-winning series THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT will provide its cutting and satirical take on the president's State of the Union address. The show will broadcast LIVE Tuesday, March 1 (11:35 PM, live ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network, and will be available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+*. Colbert will host from the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City and welcome Sen. Bernie Sanders as his guest, with a musical performance by Jon Batiste and Big Thief. The show's social accounts will also post content throughout the night.
This will mark Sen. Sanders' 14th appearance, making him one of the most frequent guests on the late-night franchise.
The SOTU episode on Tuesday, March 1 will be the 44th time since 2016 that THE LATE SHOW has broadcast LIVE, including the Emmy Award-winning election night special on SHOWTIME.
THE LATE SHOW has dominated as the most-watched program in late night for the last five consecutive years and tops fan engagement with its social and digital experience. The series ranks #1 in all late night social interactions on Facebook and YouTube during the linear window and #1 in YouTube video views across all late night during the linear window (9/7/21-2/13/22 as of Feb. 14, Talkwalker Social Content Ratings).
THE LATE SHOW is a production of The Late Show Inc. and CBS Studios. The series airs weeknights (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network and is available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.
