ICONIC SERIES "BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER" JOINS FUSE'S LINEUP OF EMPOWERING CONTENT BEGINNING OCTOBER 1

In every generation, there is a chosen one... and in between fighting vampires, demons and the forces of darkness, she's coming to Fuse on October 1 to kickoff the Halloween season!

Just in time for the beloved series' 25th anniversary today, March 10th, Fuse is proud to announce that Buffy the Vampire Slayer is joining Fuse's lineup of empowering content, introducing a whole new generation of Slayers to the series. All seven seasons will be available on Fuse as part of a licensing deal with Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution.

The teen years can be brutal. Especially when you're Buffy Summers (Sarah Michelle Gellar) - a Sunnydale High School student destined to slay supernatural, blood-sucking baddies instead of hanging out at the mall. Over the seven seasons of this thrilling, witty show, Buffy struggles to maintain allies in the fight against evil, while also engaging in on-off romances with a moody vampire (David Boreanaz) or two (James Marsters). Throughout its run, the series also starred Alyson Hannigan, Seth Green, Anthony Stewart Head, Nicholas Brendon, Charisma Carpenter, Emma Caulfield and Michelle Trachtenberg.

During its original run (1997 - 2003), the critically acclaimed, Emmy(R) and Golden Globe(R)-nominated series garnered between four to six million viewers on original episodes. As a result of its notable success and impact on popular culture, Buffy the Vampire Slayer has attracted attention in fan films, parody and academia. Various academic settings have included the series as a topic of literary study and analysis, and the favored show has led to the publication of books and articles examining the themes of the show from a wide range of disciplinary perspectives.
