BRIDGERTON (Netflix) - Co-stars Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley will both return for the third season of the series. (Deadline.com)
CITY ON FIRE (Apple TV+) - The ensemble drama has cast Jemima Kirke as Regan, "the daughter of a Manhattan real estate scion who strives to succeed on her own"; Nico Tortorella as William, "a brilliant, but self-destructive artist living in Manhattan"; Ashley Zukerman as Keith, "Regan's husband, whose All-American charm continues to help him fail upward"; Xavier Clyde as Mercer, "William's boyfriend who moved to New York from rural Georgia to write the next great American novel and embrace his true self"; Max Milner as Nicky Chaos, "a charismatic activist and revolutionary with a group of followers dedicated to war against the 1%"; Alexandra Doke as Sewer Girl, "the bleeding heart of Nicky Chaos' crew"; Omid Abtahi as Ali Parsa, "the workaholic detective assigned to Samantha's case"; Kathleen Munroe as PJ McFadden, "a no-non-sense cop assigned to work on Samantha's case alongside Detective Parsa"; and John Cameron Mitchell as Amory, "an influential and powerful executive in Manhattan, as ruthless as he is charming." GOOD FIGHT, THE (Paramount+) - Carrie Preston will reprise her Emmy-winning role of Elsbeth Tascioni during the upcoming season as well as direct one episode. (Deadline.com)
MANHUNT (Apple TV+) - Matt Walsh has been cast in the Lincoln assassination drama as Dr. Samuel Mudd, "who treated John Wilkes Booth's broken leg the night President Abraham Lincoln was shot. Mudd did not report Booth to the authorities until days later and later was imprisoned for conspiring with the assassin." (Deadline.com)
PHAT TUESDAYS: THE ERA OF HIP HOP COMEDY (Amazon) - Executive producer Reginald Hudlin has renewed his first-look deal with Universal Content Productions. (THR.com)
RANDOM ACTS OF FLYNESS (HBO) - Executive producer Tamir Muhammad has signed a first-look deal with WarnerMedia siblings Warner Bros. Pictures, HBO and HBO Max. (Deadline.com)
RUST BELT NEWS (CBS) - The single-camera comedy pilot has added Ravi Patel as Dale, "an emotionally needy principal at a working-class Ohio high school"; Eric Edelstein as Joe, "a goodhearted single father who takes a job as a night janitor at his daughter's high school after the town auto factory shuts down"; and Johnny Jay Lee as Eli, "a popular high school junior and Mennonite farm boy, who is also a favorite on his mom's Christian Instagram account." TEACUP (Peacock, New!) - Ian McCulloch is developing a small screen take on Robert McCammon's horror thriller "Stinger," described as "following a disparate group of people on a Texas ranch who must come together in the face of a mysterious threat." Universal Content Productions and Atomic Monster are behind the half-hour project, with McCammon, E.L. Katz, James Wan, Michael Clear and Rob Hackett also executive producing. (THR.com)

WALKER: INDEPENDENCE (The CW) - Gabriela Quezada has booked a role on the prequel series pilot as Lucia Montero: "The daughter of ranchers Francis and Anna Maria Montero, and the older sister of Luis Montero, Lucia has a problem: she's in love with Rawlins, and no matter what he does, with her or against anyone else, Lucia is overwhelmed by romantic chemistry whenever he is in the room."
