CHICAGO PD (NBC) - Original cast member Jesse Lee Soffer is exiting the series after nearly a decade. His character, Jay Halstead, will depart sometime during the fall. Additionally, Benjamin Levy Aguilar's Dante Torres, "a rookie in Intelligence coming up from patrol," is slated to return as a regular this season. (Deadline.com)
CLUE (FOX) - Dewayne Perkins has been tapped to pen the network's long-in-the-works animated take on Hasbro's hugely popular mystery board game. The Story Company's Tim Story and Lynn Barrie are also on board to executive produce for Bento Box Entertainment, Entertainment One and FOX Entertainment. No plot specifics were released. CONNERS, THE (ABC) - Michael Fishman's DJ will not return for the show's fifth season, due this fall. (TVLine.com)
HATPIN SOCIETY, THE (The CW, New!) - Elissa Aron has sold a new period drama to the network: "Set in 1909 New York City, it centers on a motley legion of suffragists who fight for equality by day and vigilante justice by night, seeking revolution through any means necessary." Rachel Bloom and Dan Gregor are also on board to executive produce the project, which is being developed in-house before finding a studio partner. Said development is part of a shift in the network's programming strategy under new majority owner Nexstar Media Group. (Deadline.com)
