OXYGEN TRUE CRIME'S NEW SERIES "SLEEPING WITH DEATH" PREMIERES SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 6 AT 7:00 PM ET/PT

The 8-Episode Series Examines the Aftermath of Murders that Happen When the Victims and Survivors are at Their Most Vulnerable - Asleep in their Beds

NEW YORK, NY -October 25, 2022 - Oxygen True Crime, the home of high quality true crime programming, investigates gripping stories of people who woke up to the nightmare of a friend or family member having been murdered while they slept in the same house, sometimes merely feet away. Those left alive grieve and struggle to come to terms with being unaware that acts of brutality took place under the same roof. In addition, they must also confront the fact that they may be named as possible suspects. "Sleeping with Death" premieres Sunday, November 6 at 7:00 PM ET/PT.

The new series premieres with the episode "Left for Dead." In the episode, Johnia Berry is stabbed more than 22 times in her Knoxville, Tenn., bedroom while her male roommate escapes with his life after he is stabbed also. Her roommate runs to a nearby convenience store where he frantically speaks with police, afraid his roommate has died and that his injuries are serious enough that he may die himself. As law enforcement begins to investigate, they can't fathom how this young man evaded Johnia's fate, and wonder if he may be involved.

Throughout the series, daybreak quickly unravels into a terrifying tableaux and panic, leading to a comprehensive investigation to discover the killer and bring them to justice. The series features several compelling cases such as a successful businesswoman is murdered as her boyfriend sleeps beside her; a teenager who discovers her father, a popular high school drama teacher, stabbed to death in his bedroom while she sleeps across the hall; and a man killed by a single gunshot as his wife sleeps nearby.

"Sleeping with Death" is produced by Texas Crew Productions. David Karabinas, Russ Heldt and Brad Bernstein are Executive Producers.
