BIG FREEDIA THE QUEEN DIVA RETAKES HER THRONE AT FUSE

Bounce Music Superstar Returns Home to Fuse with Brand New Series, "Big Freedia Means Business," Chronicling Freedia's Triumphs in Music, Business and Life

The Co-Production with Emmy Award-Winning World of Wonder Premieres on Fuse and Fuse+ in 2023, and Streams on WOW Presents Plus in late 2023

Los Angeles, CA, October 26, 2022 - Big Freedia, the iconic Queen of Bounce, will return to Fuse in 2023 with a brand-new series - and this time she is all business.

In "Big Freedia Means Business," the New Orleans-born innovator of bounce music explores all of the music and entrepreneurial opportunities that have opened up to her since she was last seen in the hit docuseries "Big Freedia Bounces Back," which remains the highest rated show in Fuse history. This year, a whole new world of fans discovered Big Freedia when she was featured on Beyoncé's "Break My Soul" off of her latest album "Renaissance," which peaked at #1 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart.

Co-produced with the Emmy award-winning team at World of Wonder Productions, the new series will premiere in Summer 2023 on Fuse and Fuse+ in the U.S. World of Wonder and Fuse will share international streaming rights. The series will stream on World of Wonder's WOW Presents Plus in the US in late 2023.

"The number one question we get at Fuse is, when are we bringing back Big Freedia. A beloved icon who embodies Fuse's message of empowerment as a creative self-expressor, entrepreneur and change leader, Freedia's most recent series is still the most watched show on Fuse and Fuse+," said Marc Leonard, Senior VP, Head of Content and Marketing. "We are beyond excited to announce that Big Freedia is coming home to where she belongs at a moment when she is ready to scale new heights of success. We can't wait to share those new triumphs with her legions of devoted fans."

"Big Freedia has been part of the World of Wonder family for over a decade, and watching her career evolve from world-class entertainer to industry powerhouse has filled us with endless pride. We are eager to enter this new creative chapter with Big Freedia Means Business, and we look forward to the exciting and unique partnership with our friends at Fuse!", said WOW co-founders Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato.

"Big Freedia Means Business" follows New Orleans choirboy-turned-bounce rapper Freddie "Big Freedia" Ross, Jr., as she juggles new business ventures, touring, and the ups and downs of her personal relationships. This season Freedia begins work on opening a hotel; starts a cannabis line; prepares to launch her own beauty and fragrance lines; and more. The new series will also chronicle the launch of a new album, set to drop next year.

To help fans catch up on Big Freedia's prior TV series, Fuse will be airing a Big Freedia marathon on Thursday, October 27 beginning at 1pm ET/PT. Fuse+ is also streaming full seasons of "Big Freedia: Queen Diva" and "Big Freedia Bounces Back," whose sixth season finale premiered November 2017.

After having her music sampled by Beyoncé for "Formation," Big Freedia was featured on "Break My Soul" off of Beyoncé's latest album, "Renaissance," which peaked at #1 on Billboard's Hot 200 chart. She released the critically acclaimed album "3rd Ward Bounce" on Asylum Records in 2018. In the summer of 2019, she debuted her limited run ice cream flavor, Big Freedia's Bouncin' Beignets, with Ben & Jerry's. She has graced the cover of Billboard Magazine and was invited by Vogue Magazine to be the official host of their Instagram Live stream for the Met Gala. In October 2019, Big Freedia and Kesha released their new pop single "Raising Hell."

"Big Freedia Means Business" is Executive Produced by Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato, Tom Campbell, Freddie Ross Jr., and Paul Mays.
