DICKS (FOX, New!) - Comedians Mary Beth Barone and Jared Goldstein are set to star in a proposed single-camera comedy at the network in which "best friends and amateur private investigators Mary Beth Barone and Jared Goldstein travel the country, using every resource available, to solve real life mysteries, expose everyday perpetrators, and seek retribution for injustices, no matter how small." The pair are also penning the project with showrunner Séamus Murphy-Mitchell and Brooke Posch of Jax Media also executive producing for FOX Entertainment. (Variety.com)
INSIDE JOB (Netflix) - Shion Takeuchi took to Twitter on Sunday to confirm Netflix will not be proceeding with the previously ordered second season of the animated series. (@shhhhhionn, 1/8)
KOALA MAN (Hulu) - Showrunners Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit have signed a new multi-year overall deal with producer ABC Signature where they will develop new series projects via their Hermit House banner. (Deadline.com)
LAST OF US, THE (HBO) - Rutina Wesley has been cast as Maria on the video game-turned-TV series, "the leader of a settlement of survivors in Jackson, Wyo." (EW.com)
PALACE, THE (HBO) - Guillaume Gallienne will star opposite Kate Winslet in the limited series as "the husband of Winslet's character." (Variety.com)
PANTHEON (AMC+) - The company has scrapped its plans to air the already produced second season of the animated series as part of its larger write-down efforts. AMC Studios may shop the completed episodes elsewhere however no specifics were given. (Deadline.com, 1/8)
THEY BOTH DIE AT THE END (Netflix, New!) - Chris Van Dusen is spearheading a new TV take on the Adam Silvera's YA novel, billed as "devastating yet uplifting story about two people whose lives change over the course of one unforgettable day." The project has a script-to-series commitment with Silvera, Drew Comins and Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio (aka Bad Bunny) also among the executive producers for CVD Productions, Creative Engine and Entertainment One. The book was previously set up at HBO in 2019 with Chris Kelly and J.J. Abrams among the auspices. (Deadline.com)
WORKAHOLICS MOVIE (Paramount+) - Adam DeVine revealed has revealed streamer has opted not to proceed with the film, based on the former Comedy Central staple, which was set to begin filming next month. (@adamdevine)
