The Series About the Longest Airline Hijacking in Latin America's History Will Be on Netflix and Filming Has Already Begun
Starring Mónica Lopera, Christian Tappan, Enrique Carriazo, Marcela Benjumea and Ángela Cano, the production is inspired by real events that took place on May 30, 1973.
Netflix announced the start of production of a new Colombian series based on one of the most unusual events in Latin America aviation history that occurred on May 30, 1973. Two armed and hooded individuals hijack and threaten to blow up Flight 601 unless the Colombian government releases 50 political prisoners and pays them a hefty ransom in cash.
The cast of this story includes Mónica Lopera, Valentin Villafañe, Alián Devetac, Christian Tappan, Ángela Cano, Enrique Carriazo, Marcela Benjumea, Johan Rivera, Ilenia Antonini and Carlos Manuel Vesga, among others.
The series is created and directed by Pablo González and Camilo Prince, will have 6 episodes and is produced by Miracol Media. Executive production by Pedro Dávila, Oscar Botía, Natalia Echeverri, Pablo González and Camilo Prince.
