REAL SPORTS WITH BRYANT GUMBEL (HBO) - The investigative sports series will end with its current season after nearly 30 years. He convinces wealthy aristo Lord Fairfax to come on board, and the two find themselves battling demanding clientele, rebellious staff and a hostile climate to make their dream a reality." Writer Lindsay Shapero and director Pierre Monnard are behind the project, a co-production with Swiss network RTS. Jean-Marc Fröhle's Point Productions and Oble Studios are co-producing. Production begins next month in the Swiss Alps for a late 2024 release. (Variety.com, 9/4)
