FOX NATION TAPS ROB LOWE TO HOST AND EXECUTIVE PRODUCE NEW HISTORICAL DOCUDRAMA COMMEMORATING THE 250TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BOSTON TEA PARTY

Four-Part Series "Liberty or Death: Boston Tea Party" to Premiere on Sunday, November 19th

NEW YORK - November 9, 2023 - FOX Nation, FOX News Media's streaming service, will debut a new docudrama hosted by award-winning actor Rob Lowe commemorating the upcoming 250th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party, announced Jason Klarman, president of the platform. Entitled Liberty or Death: Boston Tea Party, Lowe will also executive produce the four-part historical series which will premiere on Sunday, November 19th.

In making the announcement, Klarman said, "The Boston Tea party was a momentous event that transformed the trajectory of American history and remains significant nearly 250 years later. Throughout this series, viewers will feel as if they are transported back in time, and we are thrilled to have someone as iconic as Rob Lowe fronting this project."

Nearly 250 years ago in 1773, the people of Boston faced a choice: live under British rule without representation or rise and stand up against tyranny. Across four gripping episodes, this series chronicles Samuel Adams' fight to rally the unruly city of Boston to take a stand against the British empire. Together with the Sons of Liberty, Adams navigates the treacherous waters of colonial politics, mob violence, and growing unrest to achieve their goals and send a clear message to the British Crown that patriots are willing to do whatever it takes to be free. Against extraordinary odds, their act of defiance inspired all thirteen colonies to join, uniting around a common cause - a fight for liberty. The Sons of Liberty, Samuel Adams, Paul Revere, and John Hancock risked everything to shape a defining moment in American history, the Boston Tea Party.

Lowe's career spans four decades in film, television, and theater. He has been nominated for two Emmys, six Golden Globes, and four Screen Actors Guild awards, two of which he won. Lowe has starred in iconic films including St. Elmo's Fire, About Last Night, and The Outsiders, as well as television hits such as The West Wing and Parks and Recreation.

Lowe currently stars in and produces FOX's hit spinoff 911: Lone Star, which ranked among the top three dramas on television on Tuesdays among the 18-49 demo. He is also the star of one of this year's top movies on Netflix, Dog Gone, which is based on the true story of a young man and his beloved dog being separated on the Appalachian Trail. His latest film release was the Netflix comedy Unstable which he co-created and served as an executive producer for while also appearing alongside his son John Owen Lowe. His diverse career also includes Behind the Candelabra, Austin Powers, and Tommy Boy. His two memoirs, "Stories I Only Tell My Friends" and "Love Life," are both New York Times bestsellers. He also hosts the podcast Literally! With Rob Lowe, which has entered its fourth season and features conversations with leaders in the world of business, sports, and entertainment.

Liberty or Death: Boston Tea Party is produced by Stephen David Entertainment, a Banijay Group Company for FOX Nation with executive producers Stephen David, Tim W. Kelly, and Lorenzo De Boni alongside Lowe.
