Netflix Announces 'A.C.A.B. The Series' Directed by Michele Alhaique With Marco Giallini, Adriano Giannini, Valentina Bellè, Pierluigi Gigante and Fabrizio Nardi
November 20th, 2023 - Netflix announces A.C.A.B. The Series, the new 6-episode series produced by Cattleya - part of ITV Studios - and directed by Michele Alhaique, with Marco Giallini, Adriano Giannini, Valentina Bellè, Pierluigi Gigante and Fabrizio Nardi, coming soon only on Netflix.
A night of ferocious clashes in Val di Susa. A team from the Mobile Unit of Rome loses their chief, who is seriously injured. Mazinga, Marta and Salvatore's team, however, is not like the others, it's a team from Rome, which had to learn to contrast chaos and troubles with extreme methods as well as with the harmony of a tribe, almost like a family. A family that the new commander, Michele, part of the reformist police, will have to deal with. For such police, teams like that are the symbol of an old school that must be refounded. As if the chaos that hits the new squad at the moment of maximum internal fragility wasn't enough, there's also a new wave of people's discontent with institutions. Among rising tensions, the team members are called to take sides and forced to question the deeper meaning of their work and their own membership of the Department.
The series - based on the novel ACAB by Carlo Bonini published in Italy by Giulio Einaudi Editore - is created by Carlo Bonini and Filippo Gravino and written by Filippo Gravino, Carlo Bonini, Elisa Dondi, Luca Giordano and Bernardo Pellegrini with the story editing of Filippo Gravino.
The series is also based on the film ACAB produced by Cattleya with RAI Cinema and directed by Stefano Sollima. He will also be serving as Executive Producers on the series.

Cattleya
Under the guidance of Riccardo Tozzi, Giovanni Stabilini, Marco Chimenz and Francesca Longardi, Cattleya has been one of Italy's most important film and television producers for over 20 years.
After producing, during its nascent years, feature films by Italy's most acclaimed writers and directors, the company, then, focused its activities primarily on television drama. Ground-breaking series such as Romanzo Criminale and Gomorrah are considered among forerunners of a new narrative style and rigor and have earned cult status. Building partnerships with Italian and foreign producers and diversifying genres have become Cattleya's hallmark over the last several years and have led to great international successes, such as ZeroZeroZero, Suburra, Summertime, Romulus and Django placing the company among the highest echelon of European producers. Part of this strand is also the Italian chapter of the Citadel universe, the ground-breaking global-event series executive produced by the Russo Brothers, which is currently in post-production.
At a more local level, it is worth mentioning the success of two detective stories with female protagonists, both well received by the public and critics alike: Voiceless (Bella da Morire) and Petra.
On the international front, Cattleya and its majority shareholder since 2017, ITV Studios, recently launched Madrid-based Cattleya Producciones, a scripted label that will specialize in the creation and production of TV drama and films for Spain and the international market.
