Today Netflix announces that seasons 4 and 5 of the Norwegian award-winning comedy drama will launch on Netflix. The six-part drama-comedy series is written by actress and comedian Henriette Steenstrup (Ragnarok).

Pørni is a joyful, heartwarming, and relatable series with a dash of humor and, not least, chaos. The Norwegian series revolves around the middle-aged single mother Pernille (Henriette Steenstrup), also known as "Pørni," who fumbles through everyday life with three teenagers while caring for her aging father and navigating a job within child care and faces relatable challenges aplenty.

About season 4

It has been two years, and spring is approaching. Pørni is in a new relationship and enjoying a somewhat stable life - by Pørni's standards. However, when Bjørnar moves back to Oslo and takes over Yngvar's old chief position, life takes an unexpected turn. Can they go back to being friends and colleagues with the history they share?

Henriette Steenstrup, Head writer and lead actress:

"The initial reception to the first three seasons of Pørni has been remarkably positive and I am thrilled that the upcoming seasons will debut on Netflix - I hope that fans of Pørni will continue to tune in, and perhaps the series will even attract a new fresh audience, who will be intrigued by Pørni's relatable, but occasionally chaotic, and sometimes cringe-worthy, life"

The Norwegian comedy-drama series is produced by Monster and co-produced with Viaplay. Season 4 and season 5 are set to launch on Netflix - launch dates are still to be announced, while Pørni season 1-3 is available on Netflix.
