NETFLIX & SHONDALAND ANNOUNCE THE ORIGINAL & COVER SONG LIST FEATURED IN "BRIDGERTON" SEASON 3: PART 2

The Bridgerton franchise has returned with its highly anticipated third season (Part 1: Now Available, Part 2: June 13, 2024), and fans are being swept away by the unique blend of orchestral pop covers and original compositions infusing a modern twist into the Regency-era romance.

Following the release of the soundtrack for Season 3: Part 1, acclaimed composer Kris Bowers returns with an additional line up of contemporary pop songs transformed into instrumental covers for Part 2. From Ariana Grande's "POV," Imagine Dragons' "Thunder" and Demi Lovato's "Confident" to Coldplay's "Yellow," Taylor Swifts' "You Belong With Me" and Ellie Goulding's "Lights," part 2 of the soundtrack will continue to delight. The soundtrack for Part 2 will be released globally on June 13 from Capitol Records.

The franchise's first-ever original song, "All I Want" is written by nine-time Grammy nominee Rogét Chahayed (Doja Cat's "Kiss Me More"), Wesley Singerman (Jennifer Lopez's "Butterfly"), Taylor Dexter (Joji's "Die for You") and Nicole Cohen (Meghan Trainor's "Sensitive"). Composer Kris Bowers arranged an orchestral version of the song which will be featured in Bridgerton Season 3: Part 2 and two-time Grammy award-winning artist Tori Kelly performed the song at the Bridgerton fan wedding, which debuted this morning.

Part 1 of the Bridgerton season 3 soundtrack debuted at #1 on the billboard charts; the cover of Pitbull's "Give me Everything" by Archer Mash reached #1 on the Global Spotify Viral Chart after going viral on TikTok and classical renditions of modern tunes spurred a string quartet renaissance. Seasons 1 and 2 of the series are included on Netflix's Most Popular of all time list.

Bridgerton Season 3 Music Supervisor, Justin Kamps

"Sometimes initially it's about what matches the choreography, and then later it's about what matches the scene and the emotion," music supervisor Justin Kamps told Tudum.com. "We have a lot of covers that aren't necessarily part of ball sequences this year, and it's because we found some cute places to insert something that can play as a fun cover [but] doesn't necessarily have to be attached to a dance sequence."

Bridgerton Season 3 Composer, Kris Bowers

"It's a much more lighthearted feeling, I think, overall," composer Kris Bowers told Tudum.com. "There's obviously the ups and downs that we always have in this show. But with Colin and Pen being friends, with a lot of their interactions having a bit of awkwardness to them - and within this season there are so many stories that we dip into - there's a lot of fun and lightness that we experience with the music and comedic moments."

SERIES INFORMATION

Synopsis: From Shondaland and new showrunner, Jess Brownell, Bridgerton is back for its third season and finds Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) has finally given up on her long-held crush on Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) after hearing his disparaging words about her last season. She has, however, decided it's time to take a husband, preferably one who will provide her with enough independence to continue her double life as Lady Whistledown, far away from her mother and sisters. But lacking in confidence, Penelope's attempts on the marriage mart fail spectacularly. Meanwhile, Colin has returned from his summer travels with a new look and a serious sense of swagger. But he's disheartened to realize that Penelope, the one person who always appreciated him as he was, is giving him the cold shoulder. Eager to win back her friendship, Colin offers to mentor Penelope in the ways of confidence to help her find a husband this season. But when his lessons start working a little too well, Colin must grapple with whether his feelings for Penelope are truly just friendly. Complicating matters for Penelope is her rift with Eloise (Claudia Jessie), who has found a new friend in a very unlikely place, while Penelope's growing presence in the ton makes it all the more difficult to keep her Lady Whistledown alter ego a secret.
