THE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS IS RE-INGNITED WHEN RACHAEL LEIGH COOK AND SAM PAGE STAR IN "RESCUING CHRISTMAS" PREMIERING FOR THE FIRST TIME ON HALLMARK CHANNEL, JULY 13

Part of the Annual Christmas in July Programming Event

STUDIO CITY, CA - June 20, 2024 - After accidentally erasing Christmas from history, a freelance photographer does everything possible to bring it back when Rachel Leigh Cook (She's All That, Tis The Season to be Merry) and Sam Page (Grey's Anatomy, A Godwink Christmas: Second Chance, First Love) star in Rescuing Christmas, premiering for the first time on Hallmark Channel on Saturday, July 13, as a part of the annual Christmas in July programming event.

Still reeling from a breakup last Christmas, talented freelance photographer Erin Smithson (Cook) is feeling less than festive as the holidays approach. Unbeknownst to her, Santa (T. Mychael Rambo, Domestics) has agreed to grant three magical Christmas wishes to one lucky recipient in desperate need of some holiday cheer. Believing the constant emails she receives advising she is the lucky winner are spam, Erin wants nothing to do with the Operation Wish program or Santa's two elves, Chuck (Patrick O'Brien, "Saved by the Bell") and Debbie (Bailey Stender, "Wolf Pack") who are running it. With the countdown to Christmas day fast approaching, completely frustrated by everyone being in the holiday spirit, Erin makes the rashest wish of all - that Christmas never existed. It's a wish that has more consequences than she ever imagined, as she's now the only person in the world to remember what Christmas was. With the aid of Sam (Page), a recent blind date set-up, Erin reintroduces her family to the holiday traditions she remembers and loved growing up. With just days to go until Christmas Eve, can a little elf magic, combined with Sam's belief in her, be enough for Erin to revive the forgotten holiday, and possibly receive the greatest gift of all - love?

"Rescuing Christmas" is from A MarVista Entertainment Production in association with Mandy June Turpin Productions. Bonnie Zipursky, David Brown Massey, Michael Meilander, Ani Kevork, Hannah Pillemer, Angie Day, Fernando Szew, Rachael Leigh Cook and Jim Head are executive producers. The movie is produced by Mandy June Turpin. Emily Moss Wilson directed from a script by Sarah Montana & Jim Head.
