AND JUST LIKE THAT... (Max) - Patti LuPone and Kristen Schaal are both bound for the show's third season. They'll join the previously announced Rosie O'Donnell, Cheri Oteri, Mehcad Brooks, Jonathan Cake, and Logan Marshall-Green. Additionally, Sebastiano Pigazzi's Giuseppe and Dolly Wells's Joy will return as regulars while Rosemarie DeWitt is due back as Aidan's ex-wife, Kathy. Not returning are Sara Ramírez's Che Diaz and Karen Pittman's Nya Wallace. (EW.com, 1/3)
FRANCHISE, THE (HBO) - The pay channel has passed on a second season for the series. "We're so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with the tremendously talented team behind The Franchise, especially Sam Mendes, Jon Brown, Armando Iannucci, and this hilarious ensemble of actors," an HBO spokesperson said in a statement. "While we won't be moving forward with another season, we look forward to collaborating with all of them in the future." (Deadline.com, 1/3)
GROSSE POINTE GARDEN SOCIETY (NBC) - Jocko Sims, Saamer Usmani, Josh Ventura and Nora Zehetner are slated to recur on the freshman drama. Sims plays Catherine's (Aja Naomi King) husband Tucker, who is "entitled, self-serving, dismissive and prioritizes everything above his wife"; with Usmani as Gary, "a local realtor who's having an affair with Catherine"; Ventura as Connor, "a successful lawyer who's a partner in the law firm that Brett's (Ben Rappaport) ex-wife, Melissa, works for"; and Zehetner as the aforementioned Melissa, "who is Brett's ex-wife, is now married to Connor."
