24/7 Streaming Network ABC News Live Will Provide 17+ Hours of Continuous Coverage on Inauguration Day After Kicking Off Coverage on Saturday, Jan. 18

ABC News announced today special coverage of the 2025 inauguration of President-elect Donald J. Trump. On Monday, Jan. 20, ABC News will feature comprehensive coverage of Inauguration Day, starting with a special edition of "Good Morning America" at 7 a.m. EST, followed by a day-long special report beginning at 9 a.m. EST and led by "World News Tonight" anchor and managing editor David Muir from Washington, D.C., for the network and 24/7 streaming news channel ABC News Live. Coverage will include reporting on Trump's visit to Capitol Hill, the swearing-in ceremony and inaugural address, the signing ceremony in the Oval Office, as well as the inauguration parade and more.

ABC News will present a primetime special, "The Second Inauguration of Donald J. Trump - An ABC News Special," on Monday, Jan. 20, anchored by Muir at 10 p.m. EST on ABC, next day on Hulu, that will provide reporting and analysis on the significant moments from the day and the events leading up to Trump's historic second presidency. On Monday, Jan. 20, Muir will also anchor a special edition of "World News Tonight," and co-anchor Byron Pitts will anchor a special edition of "Nightline" - both from Washington, D.C. On Sunday, Jan. 19, "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" will have a special edition previewing Monday's events.

ABC News Live will provide 17+ hours of wall-to-wall coverage of Inauguration Day on Monday, Jan. 20 - the most hours ever for this event - from 7 a.m. to 12 a.m. EST, including the simulcast of the network's special events coverage as well as a special edition of the award-winning streaming newscast "Prime" anchored by Davis with Phillips joining her from the inaugural balls in Washington, D.C. The remainder of the coverage that day will be led by anchor Kayna Whitworth. The streaming channel will kick off coverage of all of the important inauguration events beginning Saturday, Jan. 18, with anchor Phil Lipof. ABC News Digital will have comprehensive coverage of the inauguration, rallies, marches and other events leading up to and on this momentous day, featuring a live blog, analysis from Karl and a preview from 538 on what President Trump might tackle in his first 100 days. Digital will also highlight the speeches and the pageantry, as well as a look back at the legacy of the Biden-Harris administration.

ABC News Radio will provide live, anchored coverage of Inauguration Day, from the morning events through the swearing-in, inaugural address and procession to the White House. National correspondent Steven Portnoy anchors coverage, joined by White House correspondent Karen Travers with "Start Here" host Brad Mielke from the crowd. A one-hour special at 7:06 p.m. EST will recap the ceremonies and offer an analysis of what actions the new president may take on day one. ABC News flagship daily podcast "Start Here" will have special editions with Mielke reporting from the National Mall as the transition unfolds on Monday, Jan. 20, and Tuesday, Jan. 21.

ABC NewsOne, the affiliate news service of ABC News, will be reporting live from Capitol Hill on the inauguration and the first day of the Trump administration with ABC News multiplatform reporters Christiane Cordero, Nicole D'Antonio and Perry Russom.
