'Caught,' Netflix's New Argentinian Thriller, Premieres on March 26

January 31, 2025 - Netflix has released the first trailer and announced the premiere date for Caught, a new Argentinian limited series based on the novel by Harlan Coben and shot in San Carlos de Bariloche. Starring Soledad Villamil, the thriller focuses on a journalist known for bringing criminals to justice. When a young woman disappears, her investigation unravels a web of interconnected mysteries and suspects. Caught debuts globally on Netflix on March 26.

This six-episode series, directed by Miguel Cohan (Blood Will Tell, No Return, Betibú, The Kingdom) and Hernán Goldfrid (The Bronze Garden, Thesis on a Homicide), and produced by Vanessa Ragone of Haddock Films (Elena Knows, The Secret in Their Eyes), marks Harlan Coben's first production in Argentina. It joins his collection of Netflix thrillers, including Fool Me Once (UK) and The Innocent (Spain), and stars Soledad Villamil, Juan Minujín and Alberto Ammann, with a special appearance by Matías Recalt. The cast also features Fernán Mirás, Mike Amigorena and Carmela Rivero.

This announcement comes just weeks after the release of Missing You, the limited series inspired by Coben's novel of the same name, which premiered on January 1 and ranked number one in Netflix's Global Top 10. Caught is one of the 13 titles from bestselling author Harlan Coben produced for Netflix. Coben continues his work with local screenwriters from around the world to bring his novels to life on screen. Harlan Coben titles currently available to stream on Netflix include: Missing You, Fool Me Once, Gone For Good, The Stranger, Stay Close, The Innocent, Hold Tight, The Woods, Safe.

Synopsis: In Argentinian Patagonia's city of Bariloche, journalist Ema Garay rises to prominence in digital media by exposing criminals who manage to evade the law. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she meets Leo Mercer, a respected community figure who becomes the prime suspect in her investigation into the disappearance of a 16-year-old girl. As she searches for the truth, Ema finds herself forced to confront her own demons.
