Next on Netflix Korea: Discover a Variety of New K-Content Favorites in 2025

With a variety of bold stories reflecting the creativity, diversity and passion that define Korean storytelling, this year's lineup promises to be the most surprising, unique and entertaining yet, offering plenty for fans to enjoy. From the diversity of genres to the strength of local talent and creators, you're not ready for what's next in K-content on Netflix.

Wide array of high-quality, entertaining Korean films

From thrillers and action to romantic comedies, sci-fi and even animation, Korean films on Netflix in 2025 promise heightened entertainment and quality across genres.

In the first quarter, Revelations manifests a meaningful collaboration between two world-class creators: director Yeon Sang-ho and Alfonso Cuarón, the mastermind behind Roma and Gravity, who serves as executive producer. Streaming today, Bogotá: City of the Lost tells the tale of opportunities that await the hopeless and those who pursue them.

Netflix Korea's first animated film, Lost in Starlight, will meet fans in the spring with the story of the farthest long-distance relationship in the world. In Q3, realistic thriller Wall to Wall, youthful romance Love Untangled, and Kill Boksoon spin-off Mantis (WT) will serve a variety of tastes, from chills to butterflies to killer action.

The fourth quarter brings Good News by Kill Boksoon director Byun Sung-hyun, set in the 1970s on a hijacked plane, while The Great Flood presents a science fiction disaster with peak adrenaline.

New unscripted shows to entertain every day

Having swept the world up in a cooking frenzy with Culinary Class Wars last year, a new lineup of unscripted shows is set to cater to diverse viewer preferences. From light daily content to binge-worthy series, Netflix's K-unscripted shows will offer a broad and highly original array of content for every taste in an 'even' manner.

At the beginning of this year, Single's Inferno Season 4 has already heated up hearts. Next up in Q2 is Kian's Bizarre B&B, starring KIAN84, Jin from BTS, and Ji Ye-eun, whose chemistry is sure to add a dash of chaos to the healing island B&B vibes.

The Devil's Plan Season 2 also comes back in Q2 with impressive players, from baduk champion Lee Se-dol to global actor Justin Min, who are in it to win it. Following these mind-blowing brain games is Better Late Than Single, a brand new reality dating show in Q3. Here, forever singles break out of their shells to find solutions and love.

The iconic Korean mystery-solving show Crime Scene also arrives on Netflix in Q3 with Crime Scene Zero, designed to thrill fans with intricately crafted cases and brilliant detective work.

Physical: Asia expands the world of Physical: 100 beyond Korea, as legendary athletes from across Asia come together to form country teams and compete for national glory. Returning with the iconic judge duo from Season 1, Paik Jong-won and Anh Sung-jae, Culinary Class Wars Season 2 will serve upgraded rules and dishes before the year comes to a close.

In a follow-up to the impactful documentary In The Name of God: A Holy Betrayal, The Echoes of Survivors: Inside Korea's Tragedies will convey voices and real stories that many people have not heard before.

Exploring across genres and emotions in new series

Already having embarked on a journey in space and love with When The Stars Gossip, K-romance fans have much to look forward to this year on Netflix. Melo Movie is set to warm hearts on Valentine's Day with a reunion romance between Choi Woo-shik (A Killer Paradox) and Park Bo-young (Daily Dose of Sunshine). Tastefully Yours serves up love and growth in the kitchen with Kang Ha-neul (Squid Game Season 2) and Ko Min-si (The Frog, Sweet Home).

Lee Jae-wook (Alchemy of Souls) is back in hanbok to steal hearts in Dear Hongrang, alongside Cho Bo-ah (Tale of the Nine Tailed) in this Q2 mystery melodrama. The Glory writer Kim Eun-sook returns in Q4 with Genie, Make a Wish, starring Kim Woo-bin (Officer Black Belt) as the genie and Suzy (Doona!) as his impassive owner. Can This Love Be Translated? poses the million-dollar question as global interpreter Kim Seon-ho (Start-Up) works with top star Go Youn-jung (Alchemy of Souls) in this series, also coming later in the year.

For comic relief, The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call kicked off this year with Ju Ji-hoon (Kingdom) saving lives with an ego to match. The Potato Lab brings comic romance in the form of a potato, while Aema will take us back to the 1980s at the heart of showbiz in Korea.

As life is reflected in dramas, we find ourselves relating to characters and stories that resonate deeply. Premiering March 7, When Life Gives You Tangerines will take us through the seasons of life with IU and Park Bo-gum. In April, Resident Playbook follows the lives and friendships of OB-GYN residents, while Heavenly Ever After, starring Son Suk-ku, goes beyond this world to find true love. Later in Q3, You and Everything Else explores the relationship between two friends who love, hate, and envy each other.

Action fans will also be delighted throughout the year as Weak Hero: Class 2 packs a punch against violence at school in Q2, and realistic superhero Lee Jun-ho (King The Land) comes alive in Q4's Cashero. As hinted in the title, hardboiled noir series Mercy for None shows no mercy in action, and Trigger explores what would happen if guns were sold in Korea - both in coming in the summer.

For fans of high-quality thrillers like Mask Girl and A Killer Paradox, Q2 presents Karma and six people entangled in a web of ill-fate. Strong female leads take the helm of Q4 thrillers in You Killed Him with Jeon So-nee (Parasyte: The Grey) and Lee You-mi (Mr. Plankton) as two women who resolve to murder in order to escape a hellish reality, and The Price of Confession with Jeon Do-yeon (Kill Boksoon) and Kim Go-eun (Little Women) entering a dangerous deal.

And with heartfelt anticipation, the third season of Squid Game will usher in the series' grand finale on June 27.

"Netflix strives to thrill our members and their variety of tastes with the best thing they'll watch this year - be it a series, film, or unscripted show," says Don Kang, Vice President of Content (Korea) at Netflix. "We hope you'll turn to Netflix when you're looking for content you love and to experience moments of joy with us."
