ACORN TV GREENLIGHTS BROOKE SHIELDS CRIME DRAMA "ALLIE & ANDI"
AMC Studios and Dynamic Television to Co-Produce Series from Creator/Writer Robin Bernheim
NEW YORK - APRIL 7, 2025 - AMC Networks' popular streamer, Acorn TV, the home of compelling international crime dramas and murder mysteries, welcomes actor and cultural icon Brooke Shields to an esteemed roster of talent via the greenlight of Allie & Andi, a new crime drama from Creator/Writer Robin Bernheim in which Shields will star and executive produce.
Set in a quaint New England colonial town, Allie & Andi is a six-episode murder mystery series following a bestselling novelist (Shields) who forms an unlikely alliance with an aspiring writer and influencer to find the killer of a close friend. The series will go into production this fall and premiere in 2026.
Allie & Andi is created by Robin Bernheim, known for successes such as CBS's Star Trek: Voyager, Hallmark's long-running drama When Calls the Heart, and Netflix's The Princess Switch, A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding and Mother of the Bride - on which she and Shields first collaborated.
"I'm overjoyed to collaborate once again with the incredible Robin Bernheim who has created two strong, smart women you want to root for within Allie & Andi. The writing and storytelling really resonate with me, and this is a project I'm not only proud of but a role I can't wait to play," shared star and executive producer Brooke Shields.
"Acorn TV and AMC Studios are elated to move forward with Robin's compelling and clever journey of two dynamic characters on a search for the truth anchored by powerhouse Brooke Shields," said Rob Fox, EVP, Production, AMC Networks. "Our aim is to stay true to the deep rooted and sophisticated storytelling that the Acorn TV audience has come to expect, and they will not be disappointed with this vibrant ride. We're thankful to Robin, Brooke and our partners at Dynamic for bringing Allie & Andi together."
"We are thrilled to expand our prolific relationship with AMC with Robin's exciting new series," said Daniel March, Dynamic's Managing Partner. "Brooke Shields is a global icon and an incredibly talented actress who audiences will once again soon fall in love with."
Actress, model, NYT best-selling author and entrepreneur, Shields entered the spotlight at eleven months old with a burgeoning modeling career followed by success within film, television and a myriad of other endeavors including launching her brand Commence. In addition to her film achievements, she has built a successful and critically acclaimed television career. Her work on the NBC hit Suddenly Susan garnered her two Golden Globe nominations, and she received an American Comedy Award nod for her memorable guest role on Friends. Shields is the recipient of five People's Choice Awards, and her self-reflecting two-part documentary Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields (Hulu) debuted to critical acclaim at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival followed by multiple Emmy nominations. Shields can most recently be seen in the romantic comedy Mother of the Bride, which climbed to #1 globally on Netflix charts. Shields also recently wrote another New York Times bestselling book "Brooke Shields Is Not Allowed to Get Old," that explores the humility and power of aging. Download Full Bio
