WNBA Legend Candace Parker Joins NBA on Prime as In-Game and Studio Analyst Beginning this Fall and Will Lead Prime Video's WNBA Coverage Beginning in 2026

CULVER CITY, CALIF., - May 5, 2025 - Prime Video today announced NBA legends Udonis Haslem, Steve Nash, and Dwyane Wade, and WNBA legend Candace Parker, will join its inaugural season of NBA coverage, which tips off in October 2025. These additions build on the previously announced studio team of host Taylor Rooks, and analysts Blake Griffin and Dirk Nowitzki. The expanded lineup holds a combined seven NBA/WNBA championships, 48 All-Star appearances, and features three Naismith Basketball Hall of Famers to offer fans a courtside perspective from some of basketball's most accomplished minds. Prime Video's new NBA studio show, which will be shot in Culver City, Calif., on the Amazon MGM Studios lot, will complement game broadcasts and provide fans with comprehensive live NBA coverage all season long.

Haslem will serve as a studio analyst alongside Griffin, Nowitzki, and Rooks for Prime Video's pre-game, halftime, and post-game NBA coverage. The three-time NBA champion joins Prime Video from ESPN where he was an NBA analyst contributing to shows such as NBA Today, First Take, Get Up and more.

"I'm proud to join the NBA on Prime team and bring everything I've learned over 20 years in the league to the studio," said Haslem. "Basketball has given me so much, and now I'm excited to give back by sharing my insights, passion, and love for the game with fans everywhere. This next chapter is about staying true to who I am - bringing energy, authenticity, and that same winning mindset to every show."

Nash will serve as a rotating in-game and studio analyst for NBA on Prime. The hall-of-famer brings experience from his impressive 18-year playing career to NBA on Prime's broadcast booth and studio desk. After retiring from the NBA in 2015, Nash spent time uplifting the next generation of basketball athletes, serving as player development consultant to the Golden State Warriors, General Manager of Canada Basketball's Men's National Team, and head coach of the Brooklyn Nets. Nash also co-hosts the second season of LeBron James' Mind the Game podcast from Wondery and Uninterrupted.

"Joining Prime Video as an NBA analyst is a dream come true," said Nash. "I'm beyond excited to break down the game I love for fans everywhere and be part of this new chapter for Prime Video's inaugural NBA coverage alongside an incredible team."

Parker will join the NBA on Prime studio team also as an in-game and studio analyst. The No. 1 draft pick, three-time WNBA champion, two-time Olympic gold-medalist, and now broadcast veteran will leverage her on-court and on-screen expertise to bring a unique perspective to Prime Video's NBA coverage. As part of Parker's role, she will lead Prime Video's expanded WNBA coverage beginning with the 2026 season.

"I'm thrilled to be joining Prime Video as an NBA analyst," said Parker. "It's an incredible opportunity to share my passion and insights about a game I love, and to be part of Prime Video's NBA coverage with such an exceptional team."

A hall-of-famer, and three-time NBA Champion, Wade will rotate between in-game and studio analyst duties. Wade spent 15 seasons with the Miami Heat and along the way earned 2006 NBA Finals MVP, 13 NBA All-Star selections, and helped the U.S. Men's National Team win two Olympic medals, among other accolades. Wade most recently served as a color commentator for NBC's 2024 Paris Olympics coverage and formerly spent three seasons as an NBA studio analyst on TNT.

"I'm excited to join the NBA on Prime team as an analyst at this pivotal moment for Prime Video," said Wade. "After 16 years on the court and time as a broadcaster, I can't wait to continue to share my unique perspective and bring the energy of the game to fans streaming at home."

"We're incredibly proud to welcome Candace, Dwyane, Steve, and Udonis to the Prime Video family," said Jared Stacy, Global Head of Production at Prime Video. "With elite basketball resumes that speak for themselves, these individuals have a love for the game that is infectious, and a passion for teaching and growing the game. We are excited to see their authentic personalities, and expert analysis on display this fall as we launch the NBA on Prime."

Beginning with the 2025-26 season, Prime Video will present exclusive global coverage of 66 regular-season NBA games including an opening week doubleheader, a new Black Friday NBA game, and all games from the Knockout Rounds of the Emirates NBA Cup including the Championship.

Prime Video will also present exclusive coverage of every game of the postseason SoFi NBA Play-In Tournament, first and second-round playoff games, and Conference Finals in six of the 11 years of the deal. Prime Video will distribute its package of games in the U.S. and internationally, with an expanded package of games in select territories, including Mexico, Brazil, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. This expanded package includes a minimum of 20 additional primetime regular season games each year, a Conference Finals series each year, and the NBA Finals in six of the 11 years.

As part of the agreement, Prime Video add-on subscriptions will also be the strategic partner and third-party global channels store destination for NBA League Pass, the NBA's subscription service for streaming live and on-demand games, in the U.S. and internationally.

Additional talent and production details for Prime Video's NBA coverage will be announced in the coming months.
