9/12 (Paramount+, New!) - Skydance has paused its proposed Jeremy Strong-led drama, which "tells the story of the first responders of 9/11, relying on heavily researched accounts, and pays tribute to those impacted." Tobias Lindholm and Frank Pugliese are behind the project, with Strong also executive producing. The company is rolling back spending "as the regulatory approval process of Skydance's proposed $8 billion Paramount takeover continues to drag on." Production is now being targeted to begin in 2026 when Strong completes work on the upcoming "The Boys from Brazil" at Netflix. (Deadline.com, 5/28)

Fifteen years later, buried behind a desk at Langley, he's asked to join a task force investigating government knowledge of UFOs. Armed with the tools to unpack the circumstances of his own disgrace and redeem his past, he stumbles onto a mystery that could upend the geopolitical order - and possibly much more." Mark Johnson and Greg Nicotero are also executive producing. (Deadline.com, 5/30)
COCOMELON (Netflix) - Moonbug Entertainment's preschool series will move from Netflix to Disney+ starting in January 2027. Said report notes "the streamer opted not to renew the CoComelon due to decline in viewership for the preschool phenom, which was down nearly 60% from 2023 H1 to 2024 H2 despite four new seasons (S9-S12) launching in 2024, per the streamer's semi-annual reports." (Deadline.com, 5/25)

DeRoy-Olson joins the cast as Billie Tsosie, "a decisive and resourceful Navajo teenager who wants nothing more than the freedom to connect with her people outside of her boarding school. When her cousin takes her out of school, she finds herself quickly in over her head with only her cunning and resilience keeping her alive." And Barnett will recur as FBI Special Agent Toby Shaw, "who arrives searching for answers to a mystery involving one of his friends. Loyal to the bureau, Shaw finds himself in deep with Leaphorn, Chee, and Bernadette Manuelito (Jessica Matten)." (Deadline.com, 5/27)
DOC (FOX) - Patrick Walker's TJ Coleman and Charlotte Fountain-Jardim's Katie Hamda will return as regulars for the series' second season. (Deadline.com, 5/28)
DON'T GET HIGH (Hulu, New!) - Megan Ganz has scored a pilot order from the streamer for a new comedy: "An alpha dork and her merry gang of dweebs start an anti-drug group at their high school to make friends and influence people. It doesn't go well." Adam Fishbach and Mara Herron will also executive produce for 20th Television. (Variety.com, 5/30)
GREATEST, THE (Amazon) - The streamer's Muhammad Ali limited series has cast Giovanni as Angelo Dundee, "who trained Ali during various parts of his career as a boxer"; Reno Wilson as Bundini Brown, "Ali's cornerman and sometimes speech writer"; Erica Tazel as Geraldine Liston, "wife of boxer Sonny Liston, until his death"; and Aleks Paunovic as William Faversham Jr., "the eldest son of Broadway actor William Faversham Sr., who provided financial support and advice to Ali during his early years as a boxer." STUMBLE (NBC) - Tony and Emmy winner Kristin Chenoweth will round out the cast of the comedy pilot as Tammy Istiny: "Her last name is pronounced "Isstinny," but everyone thinks it's "Is Tiny" (which does not sound farfetched given Chenoweth's 4'11" frame.) Courteney's longtime assistant coach, once a star flyer herself, Tammy lives and dresses in her heyday, circa 1989, still sporting a high pony, cheer makeup and a Cherry Coke slushie. When Courteney is fired, Tammy "reluctantly" takes over as head coach." (Deadline.com, 5/27)
UNTITLED MURDAUGH MURDERS (Hulu) - Tyner Rushing will recur on the limited series as Laura Rutland, "a lead investigator assigned to the Murdaugh murder case." (Variety.com, 5/30)
