Netflix Presents the Documentary 'The Many Deaths Of Nora Dalmasso'

A documentary series about one of the most shocking femicides in Argentine history, offering a deeper understanding of who Nora Dalmasso was - through testimonies and exclusive archival footage. Directed by Jamie Crawford and produced by Pulse Films.

Global Release: June 19, only on Netflix

Netflix announces the premiere of The Many Deaths of Nora Dalmasso, the new documentary series filmed in Argentina, which will be available worldwide starting June 19. Produced by Pulse Films, the three-part series tells the story through an intimate and revealing lens - from first-hand testimonies of her children, Facundo and Valentina Macarrón, and her widower, Marcelo Macarrón, speaking publicly as never before. Their voices are accompanied by insights from close friends, investigative journalists, and key figures from the judicial and police systems.

In November 2006, Nora Dalmasso became the victim of not only a brutal crime, but also of a merciless public opinion that condemned her without evidence.. This series reconstructs the crime, which remains unsolved, and the two-decade saga that followed it. With exclusive access to her inner circle, unpublished archival material and testimonies of friends, lawyers, journalists and researchers, the documentary series offers a deeply human perspective on the story. A new way of understanding the Dalmasso case, beyond the scandal, in search of new perspectives on a femicide that shocked the nation.

DirectorJamie Crawford said: "The murder of Nora Dalmasso is one of Argentina's most infamous crimes, a story that quickly blew up into a media inferno due to its salacious cocktail of sex, class, power and prejudice. By chance, I have a personal connection to the community it affected, and nearly 20 years since her death I wanted to seek the humanity behind the headlines, to find out who Nora Dalmasso really was, and how those closest to her survived their decades-long ordeal".

Tom Keeling, Executive Producer, Pulse Films added: "Jamie's extraordinary connection to this story made this such an exciting series to produce. In our partnership with Netflix we have tried to do something fresh and innovative in the true-crime space, to take viewers into the heart of a media firestorm, and make us all look at the consequences of how we consume news."

The Many Deaths of Nora Dalmasso joins Netflix's extensive list of Argentine story documentaries including Breaking the Silence: The Maria Soledad Case, Illusions for Sale: The Rise and Fall of Generation Zoe, ARA San Juan: The Submarine that Disappeared, Bank Robbers: The Last Great Heist, The Photographer: Murder in Pinamar, Carmel: Who Killed Maria Marta?, Nisman: The Prosecutor, the President and the Spy, Guillermo Vilas: Settling the Score and A Life of Speed: The Juan Manuel Fangio Story.
