'Physical 100: Italy': Who Will Endure Until the End? Coming Soon, Only on Netflix

The Italian adaptation has been announced, featuring 100 contestants, including some well-known names such as Mirco Bergamasco, Tania Cagnotto, Elisabetta Canalis, Jury Chechi, Federica Pellegrini, Alvise Rigo, and Luis Sal.

Italy joins the global arena of Physical: 100 with Physical 100: Italy, coming soon exclusively on Netflix.

Strength, endurance, agility, boldness, courage - but also leadership, composure, and teamwork. These are just some of the qualities needed to win the first edition of Physical Italia: da 100 a 1.

In this high-stakes competition series 100 contestants face off in grueling physical trials designed to push their bodies and mental toughness to the limit - until only one remains. Like modern-day gladiators, the 100 challengers will fight to survive by maximizing their physical power and mental resilience. Challenge after challenge, only those willing to go beyond all limits will have a chance to win.

In this high-stakes competition series, 100 contestants - men and women of all ages, athletic disciplines, and backgrounds - will take part in an extreme competition that puts strength, endurance, determination, focus, and teamwork to the ultimate test. Only one will emerge victorious.

To capture the scale and spirit of this extraordinary collective undertaking, two official images are available: one portrays the full group of 100 contestants in the iconic "hall of busts," the symbolic heart of the challenge; the other offers a glimpse of some of the well-known faces among the participants, including athletes and public figures such as Mirco Bergamasco, Tania Cagnotto, Luis Sal, Jury Chechi, Federica Pellegrini, Alvise Rigo, and Elisabetta Canalis.

The casting process was extensive: over 1,000 people were contacted, 187 Zoom auditions conducted (amounting to 130 hours), and 137 in-person callbacks held. Contestants range in age from 22 to 60. The selected profiles represent a wide array of disciplines - from triathlon to wrestling, from American football to skeleton, including niche sports such as Hyrox and Calcio Storico Fiorentino.

The editorial curator of the project is Roberta Briguglia, with Tommaso Marazza as project lead. The writing team includes Lorenzo Campagnari, Valerio Trapasso, Christian Monaco, Federica Riva, Antonio Moreno, and Barbara Strambi. With set design by Marco Calzavara and cinematography by Ivan Pierri. Executive producers are Luca Pennisi and Giampaolo Toselli.

Physical 100: Italy joins the franchise's lineup, following the recent announcements of Physical: Asia and Physical: 100 US.
