MASCHI VERI

FILMING HAS STARTED ON THE SECOND SEASON

JOINING THE CAST ARE CAROLINA CRESCENTINI, SILVIA D'AMICO, ALESSIO BONI, GIANCARLO COMMARE AND ILENIA PASTORELLI

September 24, 2025 - Filming has begun on the second season of Maschi Veri, the comedy series that won over audiences with its witty and lighthearted take on the fragilities and contradictions of contemporary masculinity. To mark the start of production, a special announcement clip has been released.

Though they may feel 'deconstructed by toxic masculinity,' Massimo, Riccardo, Luigi and Mattia are still searching for a balance between the sexes, a balance shaken by shifts in status and life changes, both in their relationships and in the new bonds they are forming. In this new season, we'll find the four couples in situations completely opposite to where we left them. Our four Men remain out of place but always close friends.

The new season features the return of Maurizio Lastrico (Mattia), Matteo Martari (Massimo), Francesco Montanari (Riccardo), and Pietro Sermonti (Luigi), joined by an ensemble cast including Thony (Tiziana), Sarah Felberbaum (Ilenia), Laura Adriani (Daniela), Alice Lupparelli (Emma), Nicole Grimaudo (Federica) and Davide Iacopini (Eugenio).

Alongside them, important names from Italian cinema and television join the project: Carolina Crescentini, Silvia D'Amico, Alessio Boni, Giancarlo Commare and Ilenia Pastorelli.

The creative team for the second season includes directors Matteo Oleotto and Milena Cocozza, with production by Matteo Rovere for Groenlandia. The screenplay is written by Furio Andreotti, Giulia Calenda and Ugo Ripamonti.
