THE HISTORY(R) CHANNEL HONORS VETERANS DAY WITH TWO-HOUR EVENT "THE WARFIGHTERS: BATTLE STORIES" PREMIERING MONDAY, NOVEMBER 10 AT 8/7C

PRESENTED BY USAA, TWO-HOUR DOCUMENTARY BRINGS TO LIGHT HEROIC STORIES OF AMERICA'S ELITE SPECIAL OPERATIONS FORCES

SPECIAL IS PART OF NETWORK'S HISTORY HONORS 250 CAMPAIGN HONORING NEXT YEAR'S LANDMARK 250TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE UNITED STATES

New York, NY - October 21, 2025 - This Veterans Day, The HISTORY (R) Channel is bringing audiences face-to-face with the extraordinary missions of America's elite Special Operations Forces. A reimagining of the 2017 miniseries that premieres Monday, November 10 at 8/7c, The Warfighters: Battle Stories is a powerful two-hour Veterans Day event delving into some of the most harrowing operations of the War on Terror. Blending raw first-person accounts from Army Rangers, Green Berets, Navy SEALs, and Marines with archival footage and cinematic recreations, these stories are told entirely in the voices of the men who lived them.

The special is presented by USAA and is hosted by retired COL Michail "Gus" Huerter who served 28 years in the US Army. Serving for eight combat tours in Iraq, Afghanistan and other parts of the middle east and now part of USAA's Military Affairs team, Colonel Huerter introduces viewers to unfiltered, true stories of brotherhood, sacrifice, and resilience that honor the warriors who fought on the frontlines, while shedding light on the cost and courage of combat.

"The military community is resilient and mission driven - qualities we want to celebrate and highlight through programming such as The Warfighters to show the full value and impact that our veterans have made on our country and continue to make," said Huerter. "Serving those who serve has been USAA's mission for more than a century and we're honored to be part of highlighting stories that spotlight our nation's military."

The special is part of HISTORY Honors 250. Leading up to the landmark 250th anniversary in July 2026 of the founding of the United States, The HISTORY Channel will mark the historic milestone with HISTORY Honors 250, a dynamic multiplatform initiative spanning nearly two years. The epic commemoration will include long-form and short-form programming, digital and social content, custom partnerships, premium events and more.
