What's Next on Netflix Korea: Every Emotion, One Bold 2026 Slate

As Netflix steps into 2026 with a new array of stories, our Korean line-up for the year ahead is no exception. K-Content remains the most-watched non-English content on Netflix, and we're unveiling an ambitious slate curated around five emotional experiences rooted in everyday life and the many ways audiences connect with stories.

Spanning romance, laughter, thrills, emotional depth, and genre-defying imagination, this year's Korean slate promises the joy of discovery across series, films, and unscripted titles. Together, these stories deepen Netflix's long-standing partnership with Korea's creative industry while delivering unforgettable stories to audiences around the world.

Romance That Awakens the Heart

Romance opens Netflix Korea's 2026 slate with series that will make hearts flutter. Last week saw the premiere of Can This Love Be Translated?, a charming romance between a multilingual interpreter and a global celebrity, and No Tail to Tell, a love-hate entanglement between a nine-tailed fox and a star soccer player.

New stories continue to explore love from unexpected angles. Boyfriend on Demand imagines a world where users can subscribe to a virtual dating simulation service, while Our Sticky Love explores a sweet yet complicated situation where two people unexpectedly end up living under the same roof.

The heart-racing fun builds with Take Charge of My Heart, an electrifying rom-com centered on a chaebol grandson with an artificial heart running out of battery, and Sold Out On You, a dreamy encounter between a steadfast farmer and a show host battling severe insomnia.

Reality romance returns stronger than ever. Global hit Singles Inferno comes back for its fifth season - the first K-reality show to reach that milestone - while Better Late Than Single is back for Season 2, adding another spoonful of sweetness to viewers' lives.

Depth and Desire: Stories That Pull You In Deeper

Immersive storytelling defines this emotionally resonant chapter of the slate. On the film front, Pavane follows three guarded individuals who slowly become a ray of light for one another, learning how to face love and life together. Possible Love (WT), helmed by master director Lee Chang-dong and starring Jeon Do-yeon, Sul Kyung-gu, Zo In-sung, and Cho Yeo-jeong, stands as one of the most anticipated releases of the year.

Series storytelling also draws viewers in. Notes from the Last Row follows a professor's obsessive fixation on a genius prodigy, while The Scandal unfolds as a daring and dangerous love game set in the Joseon dynasty - an era where seduction was forbidden. Folklore-inspired suspense comes to life in Mousetrap, a chilling thriller about a reclusive novelist who hunts down a mysterious figure. Tantara unites writer Noh Hee-gyung, director Lee Yoon-jung, and actors Song Hye-kyo and Gong Yoo in a highly anticipated collaboration depicting the ruthless realities of the Korean entertainment industry in the '60s and '80s. Meanwhile, We Are All Trying Here follows a bitter and jealous man trying to find his peace in the world.

We also have the globally popular Culinary Class Wars returning with its third season, this time evolving into a team-based culinary showdown.

Edge-of-Your-Seat Thrills: When The Stakes Keep Rising

This pulse-pounding lineup promises full-throttle thrills and an adrenaline rush that doesn't let up. Fan-favorite hits return stronger than ever, with Agents of Mystery Season 2 involving more complicated missions set in a newly expanded world, and the mind game survival show Devil's Plan upping the ante in Season 3. Reality TV maestro Jeong Jong-yeon once again leads the charge.

New titles bring even more punch. The Art of Sarah offers the intoxicating thrill of peeling back a mysterious character layer by layer, while Teach You a Lesson delivers deeply satisfying catharsis as the Educational Rights Protection Bureau fights to defend schools and educators. Bloodhounds returns for season two with harder-hitting, high-octane action, and Road (WT) tracks brutal cross-border murders under the direction of Han Jun-hee.

Big Laughs and Feel-Good Entertainment to Unwind

Some days call for leanback laughs and effortless fun. There's plenty of comedy and action in Husbands in Action, where a woman's current and ex-husband team up to save her, and Mission: Cross 2, returning with even stronger husband-and-wife chemistry guaranteed to entertain. Plus, we lean into more giggles with Undercover Miss Hong, a '90s retro-inspired office comedy series.

Reality shows double down on the fun. Ready or Not: Texas reunites producer Nah Yung-suk and actor Lee Seo-jin for a spontaneous journey across the US, and Jae-seok's B&B Rules! brings Yu Jae-seok, Lee Kwang-soo, Byeon Woo-seok, and Ji Ye-eun as they take on the challenge of running a B&B. A brand-new reality adventure, Take a Hike! follows a group of non-experienced hikers through the snowy mountains of Korea, and Kian's Bizarre B&B returns for Season 2, once again delivering a delightfully peculiar lodging experience filled with laughs and surprises.

A Sense of Wonder: Stories That Defy Expectation

The slate closes with stories that dare to think differently and push creative boundaries. The WONDERfools delivers a comedy-action adventure as a group of neighborhood townies unexpectedly gain superpowers and take on villains threatening their city. If Wishes Could Kill marks Netflix's very first Korean young-adult horror series, tapping into fear through a fresh lens.

Visual spectacle takes center stage in The East Palace, which unravels the curse haunting the royal palace with striking scale and atmosphere. Rounding out the lineup, Dead-End Job follows a man plunging into the terrifying world of high-paying part-time work as he struggles to pay off his debts.

Together, these titles showcase Netflix Korea's commitment to bold imagination, genre-bending storytelling, and stories that leave no room to look away - capturing what's next from Korea in 2026, across every emotion that shapes our lives.
