European streaming service Viaplay exclusively premieres the U.S. debut of haunting crime drama Irreversible on Thursday, August 13 with two episodes per week. With a compelling mix of character-driven storytelling and suspense, Irreversible follows a psychologist and inspector as they investigate the death of a teenage girl who was bullied by her schoolmates. Praised for its emotional depth and visual intensity, the six-part series resonates far beyond its Portuguese setting, making it a powerful and universally relevant story. Set in a seaside town in Portugal, a tormented psychologist, Júlia Mendes, and an inspector, Pedro Sousa, unite to solve a brutal homicide involving a young girl. As they unravel the crime, they battle their own personal demons and strive to keep their lives intact. In a town where everyone hides something and is willing to do anything to protect their loved ones, the quest for truth may cost more than Júlia imagines.
