WOMEN ROCK UPN AS "VERONICA" GETS HER MOST VIEWERS EVER AND THE MODELS STRUT TO SECOND IN WOMEN 18-34
Despite Facing Heavy Competition, "VERONICA MARS" Premieres to its
Largest Audience and Best Demos EVER
"TOP MODEL" Remains Second in The Hour with Women 18-34;
Retains 100% of Last Week's Premiere Audience from 8-9PM
In the heavily competitive 9-10pm hour, VERONICA MARS kicked off its second season with its largest audience (3.2mil) and best adults 18-34 (1.7/5), women 18-34 (2.4/6) and women 18-49 (1.8/4) EVER for the critically acclaimed series.
Compared to VERONICA's series premiere last year, which also followed TOP MODEL, the second season of VERONICA MARS got off to a much stronger start facing much tougher competition, scoring impressive year to year growth in all key demos, including +23% in viewers, +42% in adults 18-34, +26% in women 18-34, +18% in adults 18-49, +29% in women 18-49.
VERONICA MARS has improved the time period versus where "Kevin Hill" left off last May by +0.2 in adults 18-34 (1.7/5) and women 18-34 (2.4/6).
In its second week, AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL ranked second from 8-9pm among women 18-34 (3.6/6), behind only FOX, and third in adults 18-34 (2.4/8), behind only ABC and FOX.
In its regularly scheduled time period, TOP MODEL retained 100% of its audience from last week in viewers (4.5mil), adults 18-49 (2.1/6) and women 18-49 (3.1/8).
Overall for the night, UPN finished third in the key demographic of women 18-34 (3.0/8), behind only ABC and FOX.
